Currently running with this. I feel as though Whit dropping in value is inevitable so he will be an early trade in; the extra ~120k is handy.

I've got a team that I really love right now, but it relies on 6 bench 170k rookies being named and Starcevich, no money to go more expensive on my bench
(i am confident a 170k rookie ruck will be named round 1 and if not, i'm happy to take Darcy Cameron for a 0 and loophole options regardless).

Bring on next Thursday night, jeeeze, i'm a little bit worrrrrried.

I've got 17 of your starting 22...a very similar team to mine. Out of curiosity how much cash are you sitting on? 95k here.

Interesting...For me, I've literally only got 1K left. Possible that it's little things like the premos I chose, Long up forward, Sharp and Starcevich being on the bench etc. I've got enough cash hanging around in terms of players like Sharp, Long, Starcevich etc. (can pull 300K from those 3 if need be), so I'm pretty happy with it. Would have liked Dusty, but Steven's value is better for mine.

Tempted to go with Jeremy Howe.
The Jacobs to Naismith restructure leaves me about 540,000 each for a forward and defender. Plenty of options in that price range up forward, not so much in defence (not a fan of Cerra).

Looked really good in the state of origin game and in Marsh 2. Very much underpriced after a quiet last year. If he can get back close to his 2018 numbers you'll have a great POD who doubles as one of the most exciting blokes to watch

IMO Whit is a must. I'd upgrade from Dusty or Devon and get him. Dusty in particular might pump out regular 90's, vs Whitfield who has the capacity to go at 120+.

Could easily be Sel/Brodie/Wingard etc. if it doesn't pan out, but he looked really annoyed and apparently that's the way he's approached pre-season this year and having his captaincy taken away - like he's got something to prove. Two massive scores during Marsh means I reckon he at least goes 90, which is worth it at that price.

This is the first time where I've been like 'oh my god I love the look of my team' and can't stop staring at it, haha. Laird taking the place of Cerra has just brought it all into place. Having all of the good rooks on the bench and on field, makes me happy too. It feels like a good balance with plenty of upside. As long as everyone plays, I am really excited to see what this team can do now! :)
Viney has had his first uninterrupted preseason in many years.

He'll average over 100 in 2020.

Well that didn’t last long, went out and butchered my team within a few hours.

Looks like this:

DEF: B.Smith, Sicily, Houston, Docherty, Roberton, Cummings (170k, 170k)

Strong defence, and had originally decided on only one of Smith or Sicily but far more confident in the two of them becoming top 6-8 defenders come EOS rather than taking a punt on a guy in the mids or forwards, Cummings becomes Young if named. Houston, Doc, Roberton all no brainers.

MIDS: Macrae, Dunkley, Coniglio, Mitchell, McCluggage, Brodie, Rowell, Pickett (170k, 170k)

Four big dogs, Macrae and Dunkley can make cases for being slightly underpriced. Evidence in Bulldogs results that they perform better with both on the ball, still a little nervous though. Coniglio underpriced, injury history concerning, love the bloke though so will give him a crack and hope not to get burnt. McCluggage and Brodie both at least 10ppg improvers this year. Mitchell, Rowell, Pickett locks.

RUCK: English, Naismith (170k)

This is where it gets a little sketchy. Across the two field spots I’ve spent around 50k less than what it would cost to have Grundy which is what helps me make the rest of my team something which I like the look of. Tipping Grundy to have a slowish start to the season and for these two to provide some cash gen throughout the journey. Should be a fun and frustrating experience rolling with these two.

FWDS: Steven, Petracca, Ceglar, Brayshaw, Long, Taylor (170k, 170k)

Role, JS, upside there for all these guys. Pretty set on this line.

Cash: 10k

Definitely a worry with lack of rookies presenting themselves atm, but hopeful we get enough to fill the benches. Forward rookies look to be ok. Have planned options to generate more cash if required in a few downgrades of certain picks to cheaper alternatives if needed.

Geez that is exactly what my team would look like if I didn’t have Grundy and Whitfield. Looks solid

Certainly has serious upside and looked great in Marsh

Honestly, it's near impossible for me to pick Pies defenders, as it's pretty much a crapshoot. If one or two of them are out, the others will rack it up. Howe could go big one week, then Crisp another, and Moore the next. When Scharenberg came back he was taking points away too. Not to mention Langdon (who I know won't be returning anytime soon, but for arguments sake), Maynard, Phillips, Greenwood and Pendles when he plays in defence. Too much uncertainty when the Pies are healthy. When they're not, then guys like Crisp and Howe are a great choice

Surely I'm not the only one who thinks $720,000 for Devon Smith is ******* bonkers?

The fantasy pricing system is so annoying, lol. Someone like Bailey Williams for the Dogs is dirt cheap on SC, as are Dev and Steven and even Hately, but for us, we get these screwball prices that don't reflect their value. Very frustrating

CBA numbers from the weekend.

Will Brodie looking good.
If Tom Green doesn't get named Rd 1 I'm butchering my fwds for cash to get Green up to Brodie in the middle.

Now watch Green get named Rd 1, then out shortly after (midfield talent squeeze and all) whilst Brodie averages 100+

Bailey Smith still had good numbers. Kinda stuck on whether I should keep him or not.

He'll average what he's priced at (Smith), so it's not like you'll lose anything. I say go with your gut. If you think he can get up to 85-90, why not have a crack?

Yeh, I thought Madgen had done enough pre season to be a rd1 starter but read here the pies board think otherwise.
For now I've gone up to Isaac Cumming (great numbers in marsh, break even 42) at D6 from Madgen, but these are the selections I'll have to reverse if cash is needed for round 1 rookies.

Ideally I'd like to not touch my side til teams are announced but that's easier said than done.

I get the feeling, haha, it's always tempting to tweak. Mine's now set in stone, I'm just screwing around with hypotheticals at the moment - i.e:

Grundy, Laird, Ash and Green - Sharp and Starcevich on bench (current)

vs

Danger, Sicily, Starcevich and English - 2 x 170K on bench (hypothetical)
