Hard Guns and Rookies approach for me this year. Not stuffing around with underpriced players this year, if they’re not a serious chance of being top 8 as a forward or back or top 12 as a mid, they don’t get in.

Fingers crossed we have enough rookies come through over the next couple month to allow me to run with this.

Given your comments, you think Houston, Docherty, Smith and Steven are keepers?

I ain’t stupid. I have my reasons.
Took Nick Nat over Gawn for coin
Bont over Cripps for player of difference. And can’t trust Whitfield at that price to play a full season.

I see no point of having a team when everyone has the exact same Premos, and your head to head comes down to just 1 or 2 players. Cookie cutter teams where everyone copies each other is no fun

Fair enough, I thought maybe you were kidding.

Although if you don't trust Whitfield I don't know why you'd trust Nic Nat.

Houston 50/50 Doc=Lock Smith=🔥Burn a trade and Steven should be a top 6 hopefully

Hi Guys,

Long time lurker, first time poster here. Super excited SC is back, here's the current team, before 10,000 changes. 5k left. Can't see Cockatoo being there R1 but nice to have a few expensive rookies to give a bit of wiggle room.

Love the Worpel at M5 pick. Had him in my Mids for most of the back end of last year when he killed it. Also like the Andrew Brayshaw pick, is on my JLT watchlist.

Yeah I had him all last year which could be clouding my judgement, but sounds like Titch won't 100% at the start of the season so hopefully Worpel keeps dominating.

Liking the Andy Brayshaw Pick. Hope to see you around in these parts.

Was Brad Crouch even a good pick in the end? I had him all last year as well

After all the back and forth, the campaigner still missed the triple figures average once again and only managed 98.

All year I kept having a tick ready next to his name to say "yep, good pick" but i don't think i ended up even giving him a pass.

The 59 in the last round really stamped his papers.

Depends how you look at it. I started Brad at M6 so even though he was only averaging 93 after 8 rounds, it was still a lot better than playing a rookie in that spot. Then from Rd 9 to Rd 22 he averaged 105 which was solid enough considering the starting price. I then traded him to Whitfield (159) in Rd23 so the way I look at it he averaged 100+ for me for only 420k or whatever he started at.

It's a bit like Brodie Smith's 88.6 season average says he wasn't a keeper. He scored better than a rookie (80ish) when everyone had him, but he averaged 97 from the final 8 games after most people had upgraded him and turned out to be one of the most reliable scoring defenders post byes. I made up a lot of ground post byes and keeping both Brad Crouch and Brodie Smith were 2 of the reasons for the strong finish. Sometimes it's better to average 100 but play every game than 110 from 19 games, especially if your cover is scoring 50's.

Agreed, I prefer backing in a couple of outside PODs in the mid each year. Went with Taranto and JOM last year so that’s 1/2.

I’m waiting to upgrade Jacobs personally.

My first attempt......probably gonna change 10000000000x but i like this for now.

Few cheeky Pods in there, i think they good value and can take their game to next level this year.....Lyons had huge 2nd half of season after byes...averaged 113 even with a 50 in there.

Adams finished strong, is a beast, should get plenty mid time with Beams out.

English finished strong, showed his potential, another pre season under belt, hopefully has packed on size, will continue as number 1 ruck, can see him improving alot this year.

Otherwise fairly standard....gone with the 6 premo mids like i have last few years....but depends on if rookies allow it for loading them in forward/back.

Only few players here are locked 100% till round 1, barring any mishaps over pre season/NAB cup. So team likely to change alot, but standard for this time of year.

I’d back McCluggage over Lyons tbh. Was on the cusp of getting AA honours (IIRC), and opposition coaches tend to put more time (and taggers) into Neale and Lyons.

Last year he broke out as an A-grade mid - I think this is the year he starts dominating the competition.

more faith in Lyons to continue where he left off.....but atm he a placeholder, got eyes on other pods around his price.

Keepin eye on Rockliff in particular
