How is that even possible

My most midpriced cra cra team with Gawndy in it has six in that price range
4 down back and 5 up forward

Gawndy & 5x $600k+ mid studs to complete the side, with Rowell and S.Hill, then the rest are cheap rookies

I'll 100% tone it down, happens around this time every year for me, then I reel it back in before round 1. But in saying that, I reckon I'll end up with 6 or 7 mid pricers. All depends on the rookies though

Anyone else considering a 4 premo midfield?

Rowell, Pickett, Serong, Green and then hopefully enough cover with 3 rookies.
That's my most likely midfield :straining:

Green and Serongs JS seems way too iffy for me. Tbh i dont trust anyone but rowell and pickett at this stage as far as mid rookies go. Maybe budarick but thats it.

this would be interesting..
There will be weeks when that FWD line scores 800 and weeks where it scores 300. If your heart can handle that, you're a braver man than I

Feels like you're stretching too thin having Hill at D5 and Bonar at F5. I would suggest dumping one (probably Bonar) and using the cash to beef up the other lines - how many of these players do you want to hold for 23 rounds?

It could work out though, good value picks reduce the number of rookies you need to field, which is always good :thumbsu:

Yeah, depends on the rookies of course.
Could go Bonar > Georgiades / Brander and take Petracca to Dusty.
Sure up that line a bit

In terms of keepers
Ryan, Sicily, Houston, 5 premo mids, 2 rucks, Greenwood = 11 definite keepers IMO
+
Petracca, Lynch, Smith, Roberton - reckon at least 1 of them ends up a true keeper

12 keepers is pretty solid.

I would argue that 2 unproven 4th year players that have never averaged 90+ before are not "definite keepers".

Tried it, but it just looks too weak. I'll take another look once Marsh #2 is done. Mid bench looks crap, don't know if we'll get that many options.

If Sier plays a full game this weekend and pumps out an 80+, I might grab him at M5 and just hope he stays fit. If he does, he'll average 80

Im trying to find a way to get a 6 premo midfield. Not enough rookies to make it viable though.

From my mucking around, it's not possible. Too many rookies on field down back and up forward. Also probably too many high price rookies, which history says is not the way to go

Ryan at D1 does not look right at all. Laird at a very similar price has more consistent scoring and a higher floor. Whereas over the last two seasons Ryan has 12 scores of 80 or below. A burn man and I'm one who has been.

90+ is top 9 FWD and top 15 DEF start of this year

You dont think Houston with more midfield minutes and Wines injured and Greenwood now at the Suns are gonna go backwards do you?

Ah those magic words that get the blood boiling. Then despite all what the coach says in his pressers you still end up getting right royally screwed.

Too many mid-pricers and questionable rookies.

I picked O'Brien on potential, I don't trust Steven or Heeney, Whitfield won't get me much money and I feel there is a lot of risk/reward in defence.

More midfield minutes doesn't necessarily = higher SC scores. Majority of quality established mids averaged under 90ppg last year.

With Treloar, my stud M5, going down with a hammy, it opened the door for experimentation

Obvious choice is Treloar to Oliver, pocket some extra cash, keep the same team, or...

DEVON SMITH TO M5!

So I can get an extra mid-pricer down back or up forward

I now have 9 players between $260k and $485k

Oliver missed almost all of last years pre season with 2 shoulder recos and still scored 109

Expect him to get back up to the 115 mark imo

I know where Ken lives :moustache:

This is true but as MID only selecyions these players a garbage. As a DEF who only needs a 90ish average its gold. Even if he getys bugger all CBA he's capable of 90+ as a midfield rotation or tagger.

Lack of reliability of Fyfe & jKelly. Plus the unknown of T Kelly's potential makes me not like that midfield too much.
I expect one or two of them to change before r1 tbh
