i dont understand the love for cogs/ceglar.
cogs with the uncertain role + never having been a sp before.
ceglar just seems to be spudish. makes my team uglier.
the others i can all understand.
Cegs yes I agree why would you but Cogs he is like Danger and he also gets the captains call.

he drifts forward yes but he also scores 2-3 goals often with it....don't see a problem.
He averaged 108.4 in 2018 last year was injury interupted he is in the same league as Treloar and Bont I think so $550k is underpriced

after all my fussing and mass changes this pre season this is what i settled on.
imo oliver is the cheapest guaranteed premo available this year.
telly mcluggage cogs type picks will all go ok.
just not guaranteed imo.
they have never done it before.
thats not the risk i want to take with my mids.
if im going to go cheap. it will be a pick who has more room to move in terms of $. ie the hately pick

Show the rest of your team not just the mids;)

In 2018 Cogs split his time 70/30 M/F and kicked 24 goals 17 and had a career high 85% TOG so when people say he's not a good selection based on the mooted 60/40 Mid/Fwd this year, they fail to understand that this actually benefits his inside/outside game since he's not an 'contested beast' (averages 10 CPs over his career) but is a great link man and excellent finisher. He's over his injury, is in his prime and is the new club captain and short of another horror team injury run he will be leading a team that won't lose more than 4 games all year. If he's ever going 110+ "SP" it will be this year. At 550k he's well unders.

hope the pick works for you bud.
fair chance it does he is a gun.
i just dont see room for improvement in him.
im adverse to midfield risk i guess.
holding angus brayshaw last year does that to you.

I thought you were sticking with Gawndy - ooops I've forgotten it has been 30mins since you've changed your mind :p

mahoney if he doesnt play. id prefer he doesnt.
hibberd may come in otherwise.
60ppg at a guess for picket this year.
Really???
So for the sake of a few possible points either way Round 1 your considering looping a rookie with another rookie not starting:rolleyes:

Jiska pincrusher

Can we open a round one discussion thread yet?
Normally the Monday prior to the first game from memory, but as I'm a rookie I'll defer to Jiska for the final word. If anything probably a post marsh series rate my team thread? Over to you Jiska

im taking xerri at r3 and he will play r1
therefore my loop will be at m11.
i think the m11/f8 loop is perfect this year
it adds a cheap rookie to these lines.

You realise that players DO breakout? Obviously they all won't, but some definitely will

11 players in the top 10-15 averaging DEFs and FWDs last year were mid-pricers, where 7/11 had never previously averaged over 90 for a season
Great stat but i cant see any of the 4 players mentioned breaking out. Youll probably get 75-80 out of them at best which is not enough to justify having them

I'm about to lock the Marsh thread.

Danger is that all the info between now and next Mon will be useless by the time the Round comes around, so a post Marsh thread makes sense.

I still don't understand the logic if you loop Pickett(Mid) it has nothing to do with fwd/ruck so if he scores poorly round 1 who will be on the field mid?
