If we lose pick #1:

"A string of wins against fellow cellar dwellars saw the kangaroos relinquish the prized pick, leaving GWS more than happy to clear Josh Kelly as they immediately snapped up his heir apparent in the exciting Jason Horne, rated by most scouts as the greatest all-round midfield talent to come into the draft since Dustin Martin"

If we retain pick #1:

"It's not often you lose when you win. But somehow North Melbourne managed to get the 3rd best player using a pick 1 as the pies and dogs cashed in big-time on generational talent father-sons and non-aligned players rated highest on most other club boards in Sinn and Callaghan fell in the hawks and suns laps on draft night"
It is haunting how accurate this is going to be.

Hey Souup, or anyone else that watches these kids run around, if you are willing and have the time, what are you thoughts on pacey small forwards around our second to third picks. Any particular standouts?

For a pick in the early 20’s there are 2 possibilities that might fall to that pick.

Cooper Murley is from SA, he’s well performed last year but been out for a lot of this year injured and is just getting back Into the swing of things.

Then there’s Judson Clarke, who kicked 5 for vic country the other week. I don’t think he’s as quick as Cooper but very agile.

Both have also played through the midfield at under 19’s. So aren’t exclusive small forwards.
