Lol seriously can we just have a ban on posting things ol clickbait Kornes says…

none of it is interesting and it’s all designed to just stir people up.

Hodgey wants a new rule! Hodgey gets a new rule.

No more clickbait shit from Cornes in here.

Also:
Can we also threadban Rendell quotes. The bloke is senile.
Done ✔️

Howe has some trade currency. He finished off the year strongly. He could net a mid-late second round pick.
and get someone who, if you look at percentages, wont be as good. I believe Howe is now reaching his peak, and could hold that level for a number of years. We have waited patiently, so it doesn't make sense to offload now he is performing. Early second or nothing for me, or something else back..

Assuming pick 5 becomes pick 7. I looked up when was the last pick 7 that was better than Cerra. Had to go back to 2012 Ollie Wines. Could argue the next best be either scrimshaw or Cerra. Last year pick 7 Elijah Holland yet to play. 2011 Nick haines 2010 Josh caddy.

So the law of average of the success of pick 7 Cerra is well above average and has a lot of up side. We could take the punt BUt i prefer we package up a player with pick 5 and get suns pick 3. THEY need established players not draft picks. In this case they get both.

This is interesting. Neither Collingwood nor Footscray have the currency to match bids at 1 and 2 (even with the 25% discount). Will be a lot of pushing and shoving going on with clubs trying to improve their draft hand by dealing with these 2.
Yeh I agree. The bulldogs pick is there for the taking.

21 and 24 for 14 and a future 2nd is actually a really even deal in terms of points.

But I like the second trade because I think two picks in the thirty is good value this year with a supposedly deep 2nd round

Freo will demand 2 first round picks for Cerra as a starting point according to Ben Allen
Almost better off telling Cerra to nominate for the National draft and use one first rounder to pick him up. It would be a brave team to use a top 4 pick for a player who obviously doesn’t want to go to your club.

Foxfooty.com.au understands there was no discussion of a trade in Gunston’s exit meeting at Hawthorn, though the club is open allowing at least one older player to find a new home as it seeks to stockpile top 30 draft picks.

yeah not having a pick in the top 35 might be difficult for them

Seriously, how to these idiots get a job and then keep it?

Tom Morris ran with Clarko as firming for the Carlton job late last night........

I've no doubts Melbourne are interested in Gunston, but they don't have the required currency unless they trade out someone worth a first round pick.

If we can somehow turn (Gunston + Mitchell) into (Cerra + a first round pick) then happy days. If not, I'd like us to hang onto at least one of them.

I think we go to the draft with a plan of using only 4 picks. It would be massive for us if all four of them were top 30.

Future pick potentially from Melbourne. Not that it helps us in the short term

What they do have is Harrison Petty that would fill a need very well and someone that would fit a list rebuild.
I think if there was mutual interest then a future second/third or pick swaps for Hawks to move up and Petty would be about the right value for Gunston.

well that's handy because I'm interested in petracca, may, lever, fritsch, Pickett, gawn, oliver, langdon and Jackson

Jack is contracted at Hawks around the 600 mark.

where would the Dees find the cash? Have they robbed Thredbo recently?

Petracca Oliver Viney Gawn McDonald Brown May Lever are all on truck loads of cash.

I believe Hibberd and Weiderman will be on the move for starters.

They have picks 34, 42 and 51.

May do a deep dive into their list to see who would suit us IF Jack ever entertained requesting a move.

Surely we would be sniffing a Gunston for Weiderman swap with a pick also coming back to us sort of thing.
