FORWARD Orazio Fantasia will miss Port Adelaide’s next game against Geelong after having a minor surgical procedure on his left knee.
Fantasia had been managing a minor knee complaint in recent weeks and after pulling up sore after the win over Fremantle, went in on Monday morning for a knee arthroscopy.
It was decided that with the club’s mid-year bye this week, it would be the opportune time to have the procedure to allow him to recover without missing too much football.
The 25-year-old is expected to be back within a month

Our injury management this year = bad or bad luck?
Bad luck tbh. Butters’ nerve damage says it all.
Happy he pulled up sort of ok and is starting to run again.
If you look at the types of injuries.. its just bad luck
Not alot in the way of soft tissue stuff, and alot of bad luck impact type stuff (Clurey, Butters, Duursma, Jones, Fantasia, Mead, Rockliff)

As a general rule of thumb, I start pointing the finger at fitness staff when the injuries are all generally the same 'type'. Currently, our injury list has a little bit of everything and we've had a really good run recently, so I think this is just a case of bad luck.

Bummer. I was looking forward to the Preacher imposing himself, now that we finally have recruited a big solid bastard as one of our top up players. Though at the start of the season that we might look at him for the mid season draft.
Gives Ben Edwards the opportunity to be the dominate KPF and if he takes up the challenge, he might get some serious attention from AFL clubs.
