Its like a poster abusing another poster on here, but deleting it before the mods can see it, but they take a screenshot and then send it to the mods later.

I abuse our mods on here all the time, they just dont see it.

I see the Prison Bar jumper as disrespectful to SA footy as the Port Magpies tried to unsuccessfully destroy football in this state.

Also surely the ‘Power’ jumper has more significance to the history of the SA rivalry. It’s not like Port has run out in the prison bars in the showdowns gone by where the rivalry was formed

Probably f**ks them off that we have been longer in the competition than they have, not to mention have a richer history.

Eddie and Collingwood are too far gone to lose now. If they do lose, it will be humiliation. No way Eddie is in on some theatre that results in Port getting a victory over Collingwood.

I err on the side of not caring, the only dog I have in the fight is that if it pisses off the Pear nangas it's worth it.

I actually quite like it, it's a cool jumper. Don't care if they wear it against us or someone else, would be great to beat them in it once we're good again. But them being pissy is always the best outcome. The fact that they're so petulant about it is what makes it so amusing when they don't get it.

I am in the same boat, I am not over fussed if they were the prison bars once a year in their own showdown, it doesn't really bother me. Just enjoy watching them get so upset about it after acting like they are entitled to wear it. They agreed when they entered the comp not to wear it and the AFL/Collingwood are entitled to hold them to that.

I love the bit where Eddie Maguire says its like Ross Lyon selling his house 14 years ago then coming back after all that time and saying no, I want it back..bad luck, you sold it. Then the bit where he said Port changes its jumper colours at the drop of a hat - Collingwood never have.....Oh to have had a club president that goes in to bat like Eddie has done for his club over all these years..and STILL does after he is no longer president

I still think this is all contrived, and Port should be allowed to wear the jumper.

Just watched that.


But the heritage argument against us does not stack up.

Magpies v Crows is not heritage. Port Magpie never played us in the AFL.

Eddie is correct. If they see the Showdown as "Heritage ", they should wear the jumper they first beat us in 1997. Not shoehorn an argument around heritage and the Showdown.


Also any reference to that 2007 should be torn up with Port selling PB merchandise. Port broke the deal.

They should be sued for breaching the contract.

AFL owns all the IP. Jumpers, branding, logos etc.

So Collingwood would have to sue the AFL and Port.
