Ben Brown would have completed 3 long runsI want my money straight away, that guy takes an hour to take a set shot.

Only way it can really go pear shaped is if he ends up struggling with injuries like Buddy. He is on good money but not crazy money so it shouldn’t do damage financially.
A player that good willing to sign long term on decent money rather demanding crazy money and putting your list in jeopardy i think is a good thing. Grundy for example!
only way? You make it sound like players don’t get injured, age doesn’t catch up
tell you one thing you can take to the bank - that length wasn’t the clubs preference
I wouldn't be surprised if we see more of these contracts where players prioritise contract length over the yearly amount, mainly due to the uncertainty over list sizes, the TPP, etc due to Covid and the next TV rights deal. Take a bit less $$ but you are guaranteed a list spot still on pretty good coin until you are 32/33.
Here is one for you or anyone here for that matter???
Lockett for $250,000 or
JK for $1m
the easiest way to think about an abnormal contract is to ponder to whose benefit is it?
this one has disaster written all over it
In that case it would be JK. I like money. Here is one for you or anyone here for that matter???

Alright one last one then this is tough:In that case it would be JK. I like money.
Alright one last one then this is tough:
Packed stadium, competitive game, heat is on the players to nail their goals
Dangerfield for $1m
Lockett for $700k
Who do you take?
True. Lockett is a lock. Well at least as close as lock you can get.Lockett. Wouldn’t even think about it.
No Lloyd?
It came up in a random twitter question.Where did they even pull some of those names from?
True. Lockett is a lock. Well at least as close as lock you can get.
Mind you $700k is a lot.
What if it was much less, $250k
Part of the fun is seeing a potential million have your money kicked out of bounds on the full.Depends, do I have to watch Dangerfield take a shot for fun straight after, or can I live in ignorant bliss forever more?

How on earth does it have disaster written all over it? He isn’t going to be that old when it’s up, he is highly likely going to be the best player in the league when Dusty decides to one day hand over the torch and the club can still keep together the awesome list they currently have assembled by not asking for massive money thus giving them the best chance of multiple tilts at a flag in the coming years.
If he does his knee a couple of times yes it is a disaster no more of a disaster than a short term contract like Carlton gave McGovern nit Melbourne as rolling the dice with a bloke that could win the Brownlow this year and every year for the next 5 if he stays fit.
I have vague recollections of that, a Toyota? I thought the windows were open too, so if it went in, it counted.a guy I played footy with had a chance to win a million dollars by kicking a footy into the boot of a car that was in the goal square from 50 out on the boundry line - it was friday night footy and it was half time and went to air on Ch 7 - he was a really good kick so I thought he had a realistic shot at it - he wore his footy shorts and Richo was hosting the segment was talking him up on the basis that he wore his footy shorts on so he meant business
Anyway time to take the kick and i guess the occasion got to him because he has kicked legitimately the worst kick i've ever seen him do - shanked it 20 metres into the crowd - Richo was appropriately disgusted with the effort after talking him up about it - his footy nickname changed to 'Ravi' (Shanker) pretty quickly after that haha
Of course he is your son.Given the options listed in the tweet... I choose Lockett.
Given the option of every player to have played in the last 30 years (i.e. since the start of the AFL)... I choose Fogarty.
