Sorry for intruding guys, but I just wanted to thank you guys for Luke Edwards. He's such a ******* gun!
Gun is a fair stretch given it's only his 2nd game so likely played on someone in the midfield who didn't even pay any attention to him, there is reason why recruiter initially saw him as pick 50+ so credit to your development.

And he’s already shown heaps more than Ben Jarman and the lesser Edwards who we rated higher because we did actually draft them
There's reason why Jarman and Edwards were both rookie listed and then cut, if Luke didn't get selected at pick 50+ we might have also rookie listed him instead of Mackay......

Luke played well tonight. Played with composure. He reminds me of Tyson in that he seems slow, but also seems that he has plenty of time. Too early to call, but he's looming as a pretty decent pick 50. It helps when you are playing in a very organised, professional team. Liked the look of Foley too.

Mackay had been signed in September

Looking back, drafting Jackson was the big mistake. Clearly we (recruiters) didn't want to. Public pressure forced our hand. We dumped him as soon as we could. Started a bit of a soap opera and that perhaps clouded our view of Luke and certainly the Edwards' view of the club.

Thought both Edwards' looked good for West Coast tonight.

Good player manager but that can only carry you do long, hence he got that spike in performance when he was appointed. And every year it seems they get a very favourable and easy draw when they are "contending" for the premiership and found out wanting against the top 8 years.
Rubbish..they have won 10 march premierships in a row under hinkley..long may they reign

Getting drafted to another club in another state might be the best thing for Luke. No baggage or expectation and no one gives a flying **** who his Dad is.

Any F/S prospect in this state (for either club) is probably better off going interstate.

West Coast v Richmond was probably the best game of the season, well let's make it the 2nd best. Adelaide v Melbourne will always be the game of the year. I reckon Kennedy's amazing goal was the nail in Richmond's flag chances. An amazing comeback win for WC, crowd went absolutely nuts.
They are still undermanned so it will depend if they get all the players back in time given they should still make the finals and provided 3 out of the 4 Melbourne teams finish in the top 4.

When is that not true for any list addition? That’s generic to any listing decision
I guess in this case I see the free hit as the opportunity to get a specific 4th round rated draftee for a 5th round pick. Was it worth preserving a list spot for that opportunity? Depends who it costs you. We should have cleared Gibbs spot for him.

I’m not too worked up about this just yet, but this was a free hit by any standard that currently applies

If he turns out to be a stud then questions will be asked
