Lol calm down mate go and have a wank. Steven marshmallow is closing the border not Victoria dip.sh*te , we are lucky to be playing football at all, it's exactly the same ticketing setup in every state. Cheer squad nuffies normally get everywhere no matter what so it was surprising that's all.

Steven Marshmallow? Lucky to be playing football?

You realise the rest of the country played an entire season WITH crowds last year, it’s just the ‘Sporting Capital of the World’ that shat the bed on COVID and weren’t invited to play with the rest of us.

Yeah he’s a marshmallow alright. Typical softy from SA. Takes a real Victorian hard man to kill 800 destroy a state and pretend it didn’t happen.

We are talking about this year , not 2020.
Victoria isn't closing the border to South Australia. South Australia consistently closes the border to everyone.
The ticketing setup is the same for every state in Australia.
Victoria will most likely have 100% capacity crowds before SA.
Keep whinging.

Butters is just a phenomenal player. I get excited every time he touches the ball.

Because Collingwood have a contract with Marvel , they have to play games there.
I'd rather play them there.

Collingwood's contract with Marvel shouldn't be our problem. And you might rather play there, but the players would rather play at the ground where the grand final is played. And part of the AFL's contract extension with the MCG was that clubs from outside melbourne would be granted more games there as a trade off for the MCG hosting every grand final from here to eternity.

Are we not playing Collingwood at the MCG in round 10 anyway? According to the fixture we are

It just really fu**s me off that the AFL routinely sends us to every backwater venue in the country. Even our Collingwood away games are scheduled at Docklands.

You mean the VFL yeah?

I dunno. Haven't looked. All i know is we played them at Docklands last time, the first year of the supposed "more games at the MCG for everyone" deal.
Yeah we've got 2 this year , Collingwood and Carlton. Everyone else we play in Melbourne, Marvel is their homeground. We are playing more in Melbourne this year than ever before though.

I hate Melbourne as a city and generally will only go there for a final or the odd fifo game. All i want is a game in Sydney each year so i can catch up with mates, watch a Port game, and go watch a game of rugby league, but we get sent to Canberra instead. We are the AFL's fixture cum dumpster.

Hah, nah you’re right. I shouldn’t have called you a plank.
But you do say the dumbest shit sometimes.

It pisses me off the AFL every year fixture our GWS away games in Canberra, robbing us of a chance to fly to Sydney to watch a game.
We've only played GWS here three times - 2014, 2016 and 2017, so I reckon we're due. A bigger concern may be our 1-5 record here at Manuka.

Fun fact. In Danyle Pearce's debut game (2006?) we played North here and were up 60-20 at HT - and lost. I was having severe PTSD dog flashbacks at HT today 😉. Whilst the second half wasn't flash we did what we needed to do, unlike that day.

How's it dumb?
Tickets to finals are booked 4 days prior to them starting and interstate cheersquads get across. We've also got a pretty large Vic fan cheersquad which I didn't see. Id say it's more to do with the way they were instructed to seat people separately. The Vic based members I were with couldn't access the other side of the ground either opposite to Norths cheersquad.
