How much cash are people aiming to hold onto after round 1 team is finalised?

If you're taking a few $102k, you would want at least enough to turn one into a $124k rookie if required, so that's $22k minimum?

I remember correctly there's always a few that like to hold onto $100k to $300k, but I've never been one of them, way too much for me.

Ideally $30k to $70k for me.

This pile of poop is what i've some what ended up with. Have 150k in the bank to either upgrade some one.

Too many choices. I read through all the threads and want to change a dozen players.

Even thinking about dropping another mid rookie depending on selections to put dunks or martin mid temp to grab another fwd rookie since there seems to be a dozen.

Like every year i have no idea what the **** im doing. o_O

Currently 88k but it all depends on which rookies get named round 1

round 1 just around the corner, starting to firm on this team. Thinking it might be a little pod not having laird after some of the teams I’ve seen. Hoping that doesn’t come back to bite me.

have taken the risk on drew at the moment, that’s still up for debate. Think there’s a couple players around that price range that are worth the risk. The alternative is drop Dunkley to a ziebell and go a premo mid. Feel free to rip the team apart

Drew a no from me at that price, however breaking news about SPP does help his cause. I’d be going Hately.

"im happy with this"

... as I lie to myself yet again.

update 4.21

still happy with this. somehow.

caldwell as an eventual F6 to make it 13 locks makes me very happy.

im almost daring myself to look to upgrade j.clark to a mid priced option that i can lock at D6 by seasons end and make it 14.

Couldn't help myself but make another team. LOL!

14 keepers kentys. :moustache::thumbsu:

ive honestly hand on heart never heard of anyone in your forward line. and theres 3 locks there somehow. i know ive been out of it for a while but my god this team made me realise how much i am behind the times in sc these days.

Butters, Philips and Caldwell all have the potential to go 90 + this year I reckon.

I don't want to miss out on any of them and even if only 2 out of 3 work out it's still a win imo.

30 to 70 for me as well just incase we need the rookie corrections sorted out

Checking out a lot of these teams, looks like a number of you have jumped off the Rowell train pretty quick. Scores of 140, 170 etc in his first crack at it ...

Completely random and **** all to do with Rowell, but Brodie looks good this year, hope he gets a sustained run and puts his best foot forward.
Would be good to see.

He's the hardest decision to make I think. I'd love to have him in place of one of my premo backs and pocket the $100k, but the fact he's coming back from such a serious shoulder injury scares me off. Shoulder injuries can hamper a player in so many ways for a very long time, especially their ability to tackle. Last season in the two practice matches and 4 full games he played he made 37 tackles at an average of 6 per game. In the practice match this year he made just the one tackle. It may mean nothing or it may mean an awful lot.

Just noticed that in the first practice match last season he scored 100 SC from just 44% TOG. He's a prodigious talent, but is he fit enough to do his best?

Ok no more mucking around, this is pretty much my real team campaigners with seagull Lloyd in it.

I do like my last team I posted with Butters, Phillips and Caldwell up forward though, almost tempted to go with it.

Dyson is a really interesting one.
Some seem to think he'll be marginalized / pushed out gradually when they have all hands on deck, but his big problem over the last couple of years was a total lack of continuity, he's not some über-shittruck.
I like him, hope he gets a decent run at it.

I think Anderson and Dumont are out for a couple of months so that's all Tyson really needs to make enough cash.

Can't really go wrong at his price I reckon.

Yeah wasn’t touching him last year at that price, but the preseason match he looked like he was playing his old role. Stacks of tackles, games suits those HF types.
If he had Mid status I would’ve jumped on. Can score well when played in the right role.

300k right age, there’s value there in least in my eyes.
No Rankine in the pre-season match remember. He will come back in and push McPherson back.

I noticed the red injury indicator hovering over seagull Lloyd.

Enough for some to pull the plug?
Sounds like it was more one he could have played with if there'd been something at stake, still startable if you like the pick.

Wasn’t he right to go late last year? If so you’d think he’d be cherry ripe now barring any set backs over pre season.
