This is my team atm.

I've tried to stay away from the big three: Gawn, Neale and Lloyd due to their high price.
In fact, I've tried not to go above $620K, apart from Grundy

Whitfield, Heeney and Stewart have recently left my team due to injury concerns; and my Defenders now look a bit weak!

Just messing with ideas now. No way I start this team, although it certainly solves the potential "no rookies" problem.
I went through most of the players worth any consideration and gave each a "gut feel" expected average score. From that I ranked them from best to worst in terms of value, (points per $spent), and made up a team of 22 from the best value players.

I would expect the majority of these players to score far higher than their projected scores and that the team would return really high scores in the early rounds. However, lack of cash generation and ability to develop the team would see it fall by the wayside as other teams brought in more premos to replace their playing rookies. Interesting experiment though.

To not start with one of the big 4 is Gutsy because you don’t really have a great Captain option but hopefully it works out for you

Seen nothing online about Stewart

All rumour for now

Had a fiddle with my squad, hard to do anything else other than guns and rooks atm

I guess Cunnington will free up cash if I need to spend more for JS, hope there's some good midfield rookies this year so I can beef up down back/up forward (no clue on most new rookies aside from your likely types like Macrae and Phillips, just looking at high ownership to fill spots for now, they'll obviously change over preseason)

BEHOLD!!

I have a suspicion that Bolt-ons will be in the top handful of fwds come year’s end, and am chips in on Taranto going bigger than his 2019 numbers 👀

Potential switches based on role/JLT/R1 lineups:
- Duggan —> Zwillo - $10K
- Draper —> Preuss + $75K (ewwwwwww)
- Will find a way to get Whitfield in assuming that his liver isn’t looking like Oliver Reed’s come R1
- Anyone who isn’t right (eg, Titch)

Bizarrely, pretty happy with this! 😍

So it be

Cunnington to Hately/Heppell

Fwd rook to Impey

Heaps of cash leftover still, prefer to upgrade to a better D4 once one seems attainable

That forwardline = trapity trap trap trap

That forwardline = trapity trap trap trap

Oh Lord yes! 😂

But, as I said, I am bullish on Shai breaking out (note - 12th best forward last year, right age, more mid opportunity with older bodies at Tiges). Could be persuaded to switch him out if someone makes a good case...
Marshall is locked for DPP and pure points reasons.
I think Jarman and Ziebell think are safe bets at their respective prices, if they stay fit. But hopefully there will be rooks if and when they burn.
Daniher is a ?? but seems to be galloping well on the soft track at the GABBA + now has competent medicos looking after him.
Rookies are rookies.

Who do you consider most trapworthy, or is your comment more about structure? ... Keeping in mind I’ve already explained about the Shai?*

I think Shai will be reasonable and should be around the 90 mark if his midfield trajectory continues

It's whether he'll be top 6-8, or next tier down and you'll be looking to upgrade to someone going at 10-15 ppg better after the byes is the thing, on paper this probably looks like the best year for starting forwards since about 2012 I reckon (Sidebottom/Beams/Dangerfield breakout days, Chappy and Stevie J there too)

Ziebell with his role change down back plus the obvious fitness issues? Impey as long as he's fit and the knee is fine is a no brainer, should be good for 65-70 and get to 350k or so. Daniher, who knows, could put Buddy at 312k in the same boat too.

I think in AFL Fantasy that forwardline could be worth a punt, but I just see so many correction trades a month or 2 in.

Impey sure, the other 2 = traps and I see Shai as subpremo material based off the forward depth this year
Ziebell, can't see as a trap ......he's performed better over a longer period, than Coaches favorite in recent season's Devon .......and much cheaper

Ziebell.....................................................................D. Smith
