What's the thinking behind Sloane. He looked cooked to me last season. Surely he will get phased out by Adelaide as they bring the kids in. Do you see him beating his starting price?

He had injuries last year. I don't believe he's cooked. He was very good in 2019. Adelaide's starting midfield will be Crouch, Sloane & Laird with youngsters Hately/Schoenberg/Jones etc rolling through there but they won't be taking over this year imo. I'm expecting 100-105 from Sloane this year.

Different format, but below is a good assessment of Sloane as a fantasy pick this year for AF as well as SC.

For a man his size Rory can take a good mark and a reliable kick for goal . Was some talk around the club he may spend a bit of time forward this year, where Milera plays may determine his role imo. Will be watching closely pre season.

Gonna do a GWS and play your Captain who has played as a pure midfielder his whole life as a defensive forward eh? 🤦‍♂️ This is why I stay away from BF team boards, people posting what they think should happen or want to happen, usually involves casting aside established players to support roles because "they won't be part of the next flag" in favour of fast tracking rookies (who are nowhere near ready) to the primary roles.

I reckon Durdin is a good chance to play Rd1 for Carlton. He fills a need (defensive fwd) that they currently lack and he's ready to play.

Yes possibly but job security might be an issue with Betts still there even though he might only play 10 or so games and them recruiting Fogarty as well.

Cockatoo is not a rookie Blake Coleman is probably the best chance of a rookie playing for the Lions

He is Rookie price so qualifies :thumbsu:

IDK, reckon they'll play both Betts & Durdin together for the 1st few rounds at least. LFog for defensive mid/tagger role at Blues?

Hopefully list cuts make clubs play more rookie priced players, few deadwoods cut from clubs like North, GWS (Shaw), oldies from Hawthorn. Very much hope Pies and North play some of their youth, spots are open.

Spots at North are open for youth?
They've lost like 2 people from their best 22 and you'd assume the likes of Stephenson plays so there goes a spot.

Except he’s been on the Geelong list for 6 years before he joined Us so technically not a rookie would you count Daniher and Impey as rookies they aren’t far off rookie priced players

Thoughts? Zorko may go down for a Cameron/Brown type and up a mid rookie to a Heppell type
That would make sense, like the Atu pick as well, what do you expect from him? Just a rookie that you know will play most weeks?

Atu looked completely out of his depth every time he took the field last year. I'd be extremely surprised if he played most games this year, let alone every game.
I thought he showed a bit when he played, 3rd year now should be able to play somewhat consistently. North apparently had their eye on him for a while, he wasn't just steak knives with Stephenson so they obviously rate him highly and they don't have many small forwards.

Unless Atu improves out of sight this offseason I'm comfortably playing any of Jack Ziebell, Jaidyn Stephenson, Cam Zurhaar, Tarryn Thomas, Curtis Taylor, Taylor Garner, Jack Mahony, Kayne Turner as a medium or small forward ahead of him.

Ok, first proper crack for 2021.
I'm at a wait and see stage with Gawndy or Prawny so I'm making 2 sides everytime.
This is the Gawndy squad, not sold on the mids and I would like 5 in defence.

And the Prawny side, basically Zilliams and Preuss for Grundy and rookie. But I could use extra cash from Preuss to beef up the midfield and go Heppell>Tracc

I'd love to hear your thoughts.
