I did have both at M5 and M6 but now Heppell is at M5 and Phillips is at M6.

If only I could find an extra $100k. 😆

I currently have Heppell M6 but might end up swapping him to Hately I'm not sure yet.

Edging closer and closer to a GnR team now that a few rookie names have been thrown around

Only 13 keepers is a problem though, no potential for more

There's a few mid-pricers I like, Harmes, Milera, Sier, Hately and Rankine. There's also several cheaper "keepers" I like, such as Zilliams, Taranto, Butters, Heeney, De Goey, Greene, JMartin and Phillips. I'm struggling to find a healthy team balance though

Think I'll sit on this for a while and just wait and see now

Going for broke with this crazy backline! I do have Preuss on my ruck bench who can be downgraded if i desperately need funds to fix my backline but atm im happy with taking the risks i have on that line. Looking for a couple of my mids to have breakout seasons and so too for Rozee and Caldwell in my forwardline. Lots of DPP action to assist with trading early doors. I keep tweaking it but right now im happy. Risky yes, but you have to take risks somewhere and at the moment i think there will be a fair few rookies available in the backline and not many mids so im happy with the structure.

I've got all those players too minus Lloyd. Might not be the best bye structure but im not sure it really matters. I'm not going to wait until after the bye to get Lloyd I'll want him in asap, same for Oliver if I decide to start someone else over him

Probably doesn't matter if you're going for league wins, but shrewd overall players can catapult through the overall rankings with good scores over all bye rounds. But don't ask me, I usually stuff up at least one bye round!

Probably the first time in SC I've seen all the best players (minus Neale) share one bye, and it's the last (and worst) bye.

F the byes. Plenty of time to sort that business during the season.

If I ignore it now, it's not a problem. Future-Kadog can take care of it!

Currently have them all lol
It's the round 14 bye but, so hopefully have a completed side that week. 22-7=15 premos if they're all fit.
Also what are the chances all 7 of those players stay fit all season, literally zero, at least one will be sideways traded after a big injury. Just SC things

Completed team by the byes?
Don't think I have ever completed my team that early.

Wish you luck mate.

I trade aggressively and aim to finish my team off in the last bye round, or the week after, so at the very least I should have 20 to 21 premos, then a mid-pricer who needs to be upgraded or a strong performing rookie. Should be fine.

Not the worst thing to have 2/3 good bye rounds and 1/3 average one anyway.

Literally already changed my team up a bit and some of those 7 players are gone haha

Hey guys would love some thoughts, not usually a fan of having so many midpricers in my team but it seems to be the way to go this year. Also a bit split btwn Hately/Green/Heppell but leaning towards Hately atm. Screen Shot 2021-02-15 at 3.01.37 pm.png

Good looking team mate :thumbsu: I'm waiting to see Hatley play before I make a decision on starting with him or not.

yeh i actually swapped dusty and dunkley yesterday, will be interesting to see the dogs midfield set up in preseason and if the tiges decide to blood RCD in the middle and causes dusty to play more forward

RCD going in the mid isn't going to stop Dusty or make him play more forward. Who says he's going to play at all? Dusty is the safest pick in supercoach. You know he's going to play mid/fwd, maybe a bit more forward but that's never stopped his scoring. Doesn't miss a game, is very consistent, puts up the odd captain score every now and then. Only concern is that he is known to start slowly, but he always makes up for it. I'm not starting him because I think I can get him for around $450k pretty early.

Sidebum is interesting. Do you see him out scoring Marshall or Dunkley? For me he's overpriced but would like your reason for picking him?

No SP mids is brave.

Certainly not a lock. I really like Marshall but I won’t be picking Dunkley.

And I don’t see any value in the SPmids

You will be waiting for a very very long time ;) The last 2 years he has started the season carrying niggles this year he is 100% fit and it wouldn't surprise me if he ends up a top 3 forward.

You're right, he had that rib bruising last year which was apparently a lot more serious than reported and missed a game. Year before had 2 average games then got suspended. Makes sense why he got below $480k early on. Last year he dropped only $5k cheaper than starting price. 2019 started $552k, lowest he got to pre bye was $482k. Averages 130.6 against Carlton since 2017 too. 2020 started well against Carlton then was slow, 2019 same thing. But in 18/17, he started off like a house on fire. What was his niggle in 2019 if you can remember? You've convinced me into locking him into F2, if those niggle things hold up, this thing about Dusty being slow starter is a myth.

My current iteration.

Probably end up converting some of these midfield premo's into ultra premo's, and grab Oliver and/or Steele, but I've included a bunch of players I think will break into ultra premo's anyway. I could see any or all of Walsh, Simpkin and Taranto averaging 110 by the end of the season. Cerra is set to break out to 100-105 minimum, and Cripps and Rowell should be strong scorers.

Defence is my standard few premos with a couple of break-out mid-pricers.

Everything is BAU. I like a lot of the forward rookies, and think there will be plenty of value. (Tbh I'm contemplating scaling back even further, and going with 4 on field rookies)

I'll likely change it a couple hundred times before Round 1, but I like the structure and potential of a lot of my midfield choices.

Could easily (and will) collapse into mediocrity though.
