Getting Darcy Cameron in suggests we know this. It's also well documented that we don't have the cash/salary cap space for a big name.
Wasting high draft picks on Treloar, Beams, and Stephenson (all gone) in recent years hasn't helped.
Cox does his role. Checkers can't do it alone, and Grundy needs an occasional chop-out.

McMahon kicked 4 goals in the intra-club match sim. A promising type for sure.

Rance still has nightmares.

ALEX Fance.

Flops like a scoccor player 😀.

So bit off topic.
Any idea when SC opens for the frugle among us?
For the tight arses and small Chol kents .
In the next 2-5 days I believe.
Should be in the next week I would think. From memory it was late January last year.
Thanks guys :thumbsu:
So soon .
Many bosses will wonder why no fooking beening done.

And why boyfriends and husband are not talking to their wife's and girlfriends.

😀.
Just went back and had a look. Last year it opened on the 21st of January, which was a Tuesday last year. Reckon it'll be open by Wednesday.

Is Tex Perkins a lock for round one.

Bombers board loove him.
The last I saw was this "draftee Archie Perkins have all been on modified duties in recent training sessions"
I'm not sure what that means but he must some niggle at least going on.

Cats play bombers in the pre-season hopefully Tex is playing in that.

Grainger-Barras struggling with fitness it seems. Reports he blew up running laps last week and this morning finished last and distressed in a 16 man trial over 2.2k. (per Hawkboy62). Too pricey for me anyway, but that doesn't inspire confidence of an early season start.

In fairness I almost keeled over myself out in the heat a few minutes back, but I'm not a fit, young and healthy athlete.

Finn Maginness won our time trial last year and only played 1 game totalling 9 touches.

There is a difference between struggling to finish a time trial and putting in the effort and coming last. I suspect it's the latter for DGB. His footy smarts and talent could easily see him with an early debut IMO. He's got two months to work up to a satisfactory fitness base that is passable for AFL standard.

Hawthorn is also full of endurance freaks by comparison. Phillips, Finn, CJ, Moore and Scully could probably win any distance time trial at any club in the league. These are the names Denver is trying to keep pace with.

Also, he's playing as a third tall most likely, not like he's gut running up and down the ground all game. If he builds an acceptable fitness base he has the footy smarts to make up for it.

Phillips was beaten by Rantall last year. And then Rantall didn't get a game. So your point stands

Didn’t Downie recently just finish ahead of Phillips as well?

Does the news of a potential Tom Scully retirement open up a spot for any Hawks rookies?

Heard $ully hasn't been around much at hawks training.

They lose 2 runners.
Smith and maybe $ully.

Don't know what's wrong with sully.
Penny might have dropped and hawks told him to pull out he's finger.
Sully prob wouldn't like that.

Hawks fan can you fill us in.
