Is that confirmed? Rookies won’t really have a chance to show anything so likely have to wait for an opportunity to crack the 22.With the Afl shortening the pre season comp to 1 game, isn't that good for sc? Expect it to be basically round 1 sides so it means we won't get sucked into rookies who won't play and then have to restructure our teams when they don't play round 1.
Each team can play a low key practice match as well, that's the chance for them to shine. So if they play the official pre season game, fair to say they'll play round 1.Is that confirmed? Rookies won’t really have a chance to show anything so likely have to wait for an opportunity to crack the 22.
If they make the official pre season game yes likely nailed on. I’m saying it’s less likely they will make that game based on some intra clubs and a “low key” practice match. Each team can play a low key practice match as well, that's the chance for them to shine. $123K Ruck Rookie
Fellow ruck Lloyd Meek is one of those players that Darcy expects to take a big step forward this season.
The 203cm, 111kg big man is yet to make his debut after three seasons on Fremantle’s list.
‘Lloyd’s going really well at the moment,” Darcy said.
“This time last pre-season, he was coming back from surgery on his foot so this is the first full pre-season he’s had.
“He’s put on a bit of size, he’s looking really strong. He’s out there and he’s competing really well, which is good to see.”

Lot of teams seem to be including Nathan Murphy at the moment, and have him on the field.
I don't see how he's getting a string of games when there already isn't room for all of Crisp, Maynard, Noble, Quaynor and Howe, Pendles may spend time at half back, and a guy like Bianco has more flexibility to play half back or do a rotation in the middle, and then there's Madgen to boot.
I hope I'm wrong, it would be great to see the lad finally get his debut, I just don't see how he breaks into our backline which is by far our most settled part of the ground
Agree with Murphy. He's going to need a huge JLT to even be considered at this point.
Bianco in front of him. Has wonderful DE and now has the frame to compete. Howe on the way back.
Disagree with Pendles to half-back. That's been said for years and has never happened, for good reason.
How about Chugg? $102k D/F
"Keep an eye on Isaac Chugg. The recent Magpies draftee has turned heads at Collingwood since arriving and has impressed off half-back to put himself in the mix as a surprise early season debutant". - Callum Twomey

Who does he replace down back if everyone is fit come Round 1? There backline currently would be Crisp,Roughead,Maynard,Howe,Moore & Quaynor. Then No7 would be Noble.
I have him there too atm, but I won't be starting him if he doesn't play round 1. That just seems a waste of potential earnings and of a good downgrade target.I've got Chugg at D8 as a 102k probable donut. If he gets a game it would be a bonus. He does seem to be impressing his new overlords
Collingwood play the 2nd, 1st, 1st, =5th, 2nd and 8th game of the first 6 rounds.I've got Chugg at D8 as a 102k probable donut. If he gets a game it would be a bonus. He does seem to be impressing his new overlords

If he doesnt play, he isnt very valuable as a loophole donut unfortunately.
Chugg vomit. It writes itself.
Hearing Quaynor might move to more mid time.Who does he replace down back if everyone is fit come Round 1? There backline currently would be Crisp,Roughead,Maynard,Howe,Moore & Quaynor. Then No7 would be Noble.
