Is Rantall just coming in to give Mayne a rest and be dropped again next week?

If we can assume the Richmond/Eagles pull forward then I wonder if it's too cheeky trading based off the assumption that happens? Why wouldn't it at this point? Other than the Eagles probably not wanting to play many games in quick succession while they're decimated it does make sense. And we'll still be decimated in R14 when we verse Richmond anyway.

I've got Gaff/Martin/RCD for next week. If they all played I'll have 22 next week with 1 or 2 emergencies! Wasteful.

I could however trade to grab Hunter now and balance that up.

I’ve ditched getting Mills to grab Zorko. Was thinking ditching Oliver too but couldn’t think of good option. Hunter might be a good one.

No point worrying about changes to the bye unless we know what AFL Fantasy plan to do (more trades?, best 16 ?, averages ?)

Meanwhile I'm still trying to figure out who is more likely to see through the byes between O'Connor and Rantall.

Rantall has the greater potential to score if played in the middle (based on junior numbers), but may not play once Mayne and Adams are back.
O'Connor tackled well in his only game, but only had 1 kick. Berry the one likely to take his spot (although Berry himself is still a rookie, so perhaps that puts O'Connor above Rantall for JS)

Hunter 'feels' like a safe get in that everyone will likely be grabbing him at some point. He's simply too cheap not to grab post-round 13 regardless of form or bevo.

Macrae could cop a tag from Freo in which case Hunter would mop it all up unless he gets bevoed. If he hits a 110+ I'd be laughing all the way to the bank.

Yeah weirdly works for me too and I've got Dusty, Short and RCD. Makes next round breezy and gives me 6 trades to fix it up for R14.

Same same

If they move the Tigers V Eagles forward, it will just mean I have to trade out R14 players next week instead of R13 as I have Dusty, Short and RCD.

It could be disaster if they don't give a concession and you already had a STACKED R14 and 3 or 4 that moved there.

Trew didn't fly if anyone cares
I think given we knew about Edwards yesterday that Trew was a long shot.

I think I need to do it. Gives me 13 in R14 if that bye moves but it includes the dreaded Flynn. I’d be at the mercy of the fantasy gods to change the rules if I got Leon’d

If they pull 1 game forward but dont push 1 back I would think there'd be some sort of concessions for Round 14 (love or hate it).
For better or worse, Fantasy AFL has slowly turned into 10 pin bowling with the rails up.
I doubt they'd push on with the byes as planned with the change in fixture.

I just read Richmond want to fly back to Melbourne so if West Coast don't want to do it then I'm not sure why it would happen? Other than the AFL being stubborn.

Is there a chance the queen's birthday game gets pushed back a week to try and get some sort of crowd?

Next year i petition for no more split bye sh*t.... Just have 1 big bye you stupid fu**s.

It isn't so bad normally but the world we live in isn't normal anymore covid could easily break 1 round making the byes 3 rounds gives it thrice the chance.
From a fantasy point of view being a nerd I do see the 3 byes as a way to get ahead each year.

From a pure footy and sanity point of view - 1 bye week of no footy, it’s not that hard. It’s like the AFL think if there’s no footy one weekend people will somehow forget it even exists and not return. It’s just another classic case of them misreading the room.. they can’t seem to grasp that like any healthy relationship some time apart is not actually a bad thing.

Scrap the pre-season, shorten the byes and move to a longer regular season !!

Exactly - just listen to the guidance offered when offered - stressing and second guessing when it is just a game at end of day!

For the same reasons I have passed on Rantall (even though I really like the kid's ultimate future) and have stuck with O'Connor - I think O'Connor actually pick up a niggle injury the week after he was the unused med sub and hence he was omitted, missed a game and then came back and had a pretty good game in 2's and got elevated ahead of a few - which indicates they are keen enough on him.

Like you I see it being made to happen somehow - it's almost too sensible - Tiges will be all over avoiding another travel - WC may resist at first but the AFL will find the right encouragement. It'll be soething that completely ruins my team - nothing surer, but hey it's a game - I'll roll with it!

Warnie who’s pretty much their mouth piece has all but said averages are out the door this season. He floated that everything will stay the same (best 18) but possibly an extra trade/s

I can see that being the go as from Fanhub’s point of view just lobbing an extra trade in is by far the easiest (less work) solution.

I’m not a Crows expert by any stretch, but I think the only two games Berry has missed are due to injuries. So my view is that they want to get games into him !
For sure - ROC will be out next week regardless of how he plays. Best case scenario, he'll be sub and Berry will come back (assuming he's over his concussion).

Even if ROC gets 15 touches, 8 tackles, we have always had a last in first out approach to selection.

Regardless of how you play, if you've worn the jumper for 150+ times, you're safe as houses.

Keep up the good work then Adelaide........ ;)

Scrap preseason mandate rotating squads (players play no more then say 27) and do a 34 round season.

Hell increase list sizes if needed to make it work i am sure all the extra money got from T.V deals would easily account for that.

Will never happen but i can dream
