If we are after a silky gun mid, if there are any, we might have to look outside the box as unpopular as it may be.
Best trade value we have is Wines, Butters, MG, Marshall, Burton, Rozee & Ladams.
Sometimes you have to give something up to get something in return.
Sorta like the Wingard deal, as much as I hated it at the time.

At this point I’d take anyone with some height down back!
He’s up to 93kgs so he’s building a solid frame for a young defender. Get up to 98-100 and perhaps he could become that full back we’re desperate for?
But agree it would be very unlikely they let him go and we’d likely need to add a sweetener if we’re a chance.

I’m a Lycett fan but we’re not winning a flag with him as our main main. He’s let us down twice in the biggest games of the year. Unfortunately it won’t happen because Ken needs to keep his job, but I would completely change the mid set up.
Hayes as the main ruck, Butters, Rozee and Durs permanent mids and move Lycett to second ruck. I like Lycett as a resting forward. Id trade Pete for picks next year in the view to getting Lukosius.

We don't have many cards to play with, so it's something we could look at.
What tall player be it ruck or forward has thrived under Hinkley, he has no idea.

Im Not trading anything of value this season for Magic beans for the upcoming season while Ken is in charge. Ladhams for a future first is what I’d be after.
Talls & rucks have had good years under him but it doesn't last.
I'd be trading out DBJ to get a first round mid.
What are you packaging him up with for a first rounder?
As good as this would be, Ladhams for Macrae feels right up there with Fantasia for Wines in terms of reality.
I'd probably do Ladhams, 16 and DBJ for Macrae though.
I'l package up his all australian guernsey and jack cahill medal from 2020!

I'd tell them that carlton paid pick 8 for adam saad (with a few late swaps). DJB more awarded by afl community at the same age as the saad trade. Seriously i can't see how we wouldn't get a first rounder for dbj. There would be a lot of vic teams happy to take him.

He went alright for WCE going up against the best Ruckman game in the 2018 GF beating Grundy. In the prelim Lycett beat Gawn.
Gawn and Grundy were both all Australian in 2018.
I’d be much happier if Lycett was our biggest problem.

If we're trying to buy a flag, and want to ship Ladhams to a team that needs a young ruck and has an quality inside mid that might be available.
Ladhams plus some decent future draft pick to Hawthorn, Mitchell plus $200k salary to PAFC

dbj didnt have a good year. but youre right in that he has plenty of creidts and other clubs would see them as being able to get best out of him...so i think a pick in the late first round is fair. He was our B&F too.
This is getting more depressing by the hour.
