His list of achievements would roughly fit inside a thimble with nothing to add since 2014.
So would those of 40 players on the Port list.

Actually at least he's won the rising star, so his achievements literally dwarf 90% of our list.

OMeara is a gun. We can question his age and his body in terms of a fit for us, but his stats and exposed form clearly demonstrate he is an elite mid and would be a huge get.

Anyone that has watched him closely over the last couple years would appreciate what he's done for the Hawks.

He's the type of natural elite mid we've been begging for. In our system, with all the quality we would have around him, if he stayed fit, he could be a massive, massive get.

I will believe it when I see it though, find it hard to believe we can pull it off.

Fantasy stuff, would be so lit if you managed to get Mitchell and O'Meara.

You make think that they're to similar to Wines, but its all about the clearances,

Might surprise, but Petracca was ranked 3rd for turnovers this year...
Petracca 3rd, Wines 4th, Mitchell 5th, Bontempelli 6th.

It's an elite group and sort of goes against the "turnovers = bad football" myth doesn't it?

Elite would imply he's actually achieved something he hasn't, dodgy body 28yo next year & never lived up to it, I'd do it on the cheap but he's not worth a first rounder & a hefty wage.

Now he may be right, but guessing from social media posts is something we all do and don't get paid for it.

In other news

It is understood that Port Adelaide haven't had any conversations with anyone about regarding Theo as a dead set drop-kick.

Not to say there isn't loathing for Doropolous - but zero discussions at this point.

CD would answer the phone, tell Theo no we haven't spoken to anyone about O'Meara, hang up then burst out laughing and high-five Cripps.

Hawthorn champion Jordan Lewis, who left the club in his final seasons to join Melbourne, believes the Power make sense for O’Meara and the Hawks alike.

“He left Gold Coast to come for Hawthorn for success; you’re not going to leave Hawthorn to go to another a club that’s a little bit off success,” Lewis said on Fox Footy.

“If I’m Jaeger O’Meara, and Port are coming to me saying we’d love to have you, perfect fit. If you want to be in a successful environment and you want to play finals, Port Adelaide are right in that window.”

Wonder if SPP will be pushed out more actively if we do end up getting JOM. Perhaps even as part of that deal with Hawks. Can't see SPP playing as a HF for another year and if he doesn't get into the midfield group because of Ken, perhaps it's in both parties' interest that he sees himself elsewhere

Ralph suggested his contract averaged $225,000 over three years, but was back-ended to $400,000 for next year.
For a club who supposedly has heaps of Salary Cap space we seem to have back ended a lot of contracts,
First Tom Cluery manager made point that Cluery contract back ended and ruled out any other club taking it over ( not that I want him gone anyway).
Not quite sure why this has happened
Remembering Ollie also changed his contract to push this year’s amounts into later years

Likely to go under 95% after we traded players out.

Once we traded some players out (Polec / wingard / Ryder / Dougal ) it likely became apparent that we were paying something like 97% (or some such figure) of the cap, and if we shuffled some around we could reach the 95% and be able to bank the 5% for the future as per the rule.

in order to get to 95 % it’s just as likely we back loaded some contracts as front loaded them.

Looks like the crows can’t get anything worthwhile done 🤣

That's a big call by North. Although the second round pick going back cancels out the Melbourne future first.

Guess the #1 pick isn't going anywhere

ahhhh

so if that’s true, that would mean that Adelaide we’re going to stiff Sydney by trading all their possible picks away so they couldn’t trade anything to Sydney and just take dawson in the psd.

I wonder how Sydney would have reacted to that news. Can’t imagine they would be happy.

But they think that they can get him in the PSD for nothing 😳
