They sell the farm for him .... And ends up with us once his first contract runs out would be just to funnyIf I was north I’d definitely do that trade
If Adelaide gave up there 3 1st rounders they wouldn’t be able to get dawson so there team wouldn’t be that much better with jhf and if dawson went to the psd north could pick him up and they’d very much improve with him and ccj and potentially if both teams played bad next year could end up with 4 this year and 2 picks in the top 5 next year as well as demons pick. That would set them up very nicely

North Melbourne rejected an astonishing offer of three first-round picks for the No.1 pick in this year’s draft, reports AFL Media.
Adelaide made the enormous bid this week, putting pick 4 on the table along with their 2022 first-round pick and Melbourne’s 2022 first-round pick, acquired this week.
Using the Draft Value Index, if the Crows and Demons finished in the same spots on the ladder in 2022, the offer would’ve been worth over 5000 draft points - essentially like having both the No.1 and No.4 picks combined.
Hope the crows get what they deserve and he ends up at Norf then.Clearly Adelaide are planning to walk him thru the PSD.
Why would North use their pick on him?Hope the crows get what they deserve and he ends up at Norf then.
How much did those players accumulate in the first quarter against the bulldogs. A steady experienced mid like Mitchell would (possibly) stop the multiple onslaughts we had throughout the year in the centre. I agree we need Butters, Durrsma, Rozee, Bergman et al to develop into full time mids, but saying Mitchell adds nothing seems arrogant. We’ve got the inside accumulator already in wines, we’ve got the young protege inside mid in drew. And we’ve got the older established player in boak.
our midfield had a deficiency last year, it was that quicker damaging midfielder.
adding Mitchell doesn’t solve that, we just get another accumulator and wines boak drew and Mitchell doesn’t work whatsoever, so we would be benching drew until boak at least is gone, tho I still think wines Mitchell and drew is still a slightly questionable mix after that.
and yeah, quick damaging mids aren’t easily available, cause the game has trended towards them (dunstan nearly unwanted and hewett didn’t even get another offer from Sydney and went to blues without any competition for him at all). So why would we prioritise a 28yr old plodding inside mid over the mid type we need to develop?
if we were to do an analysis of the leagues team lists and identifying who are the possible best inclusions, funnily enough I reckon butters, rozee, spp and Bergman would be the names at the top of the list.
we don’t even need to trade for any of them.
We already had butters earmarked to transition into a full time mid across this past season but was slowed down by that injury.
Bringing in a mid type that isn’t the fit we need next to wines and drew that holds butters and co out on the flanks would be such a waste.
YeahnahLadhams for Sydney’s pick 31 & future 2nd
Pick 16 & Farrell for JOM
SPP for pick 29.
Job done
Our starting midfield wont get better than last year. Rockliff hit form at the right time, Boak and Wines were at their best, Gray was still able to run through. SPP, Duursma, Ebert all fitter and able to contribute. Richmond had 41 clearances with 11 center clearances against us in the PF.How much did those players accumulate in the first quarter against the bulldogs. I’d also go Jaegar. If we could turn Ladhams and 16 into those two giddy up.
Good on the crows for having the stones tomput that offer together

Replace Rockliff with Mitchell it makes no difference, the opposition can just play an extra player at stoppages and its game over for our coaches.

I thought the rules on trading 1sts and future 1sts would dictate that with no 1sts left they would have to retain/get back a 2nd, or something like that. Guess they could've gotten someone else's 2nd involved though. They should have really gone for it and taken the second rounder off the table.
Guess the #1 pick isn't going anywhere
They may have been even harder on us getting some Aliir payback.I hope we have at least put the question to Dawson’s management again about coming to port.
If he’s set his mind on the crows no dramas but if their is doubt about the PSD, we should be all over that.
In fairness to the crows, they seem to have put some decent offers in so we might not be able to satisfy them either
And just gone with the reach around instead? They should have really gone for it and taken the second rounder off the table.
