It was bandied around in a few places that he was on 400k when we got him.

Be nice if some miracle occurred and he really improved his form next year.

Be noice if some miracle happened, and he retired.

I've been thinking about him lately in terms of our midfield. He actually looked OK in his first few senior games with us - do you remember the talk about him helping with his bigger body etc?

Then he was injured from memory, came back and was average in a couple of games then never appeared again.

Not sure what's up with him.. seems to like the lifestyle, maybe he isn't putting in the work required?

Went from injury prone but showing signs, to a 4 year deal with no injuries and showing nothing.

Strange one, hopefully we give him a go.

He lost any speed and agility he had after doing an acl. Can get heaps of it in the reserves, but can’t get back on defence due to a lack of running power.

Turned up out of shape his first preseason.

Lynch to Hawthorn enables Ceglar to Cats which enables Fort to us. Round and round the ruck merry-go-round spins.

AFL building up this nonsense so they have something to show for on the last day.

Ok, I’m out of the loop, what are the trades, or potential trades, Collingwood have done to get picks back in next year’s draft, while also getting enough points in this year’s draft?

The little talk I have read from the Pies, is that they potentially will only have four picks to take to the draft, so they’ll need enough points bundled up in those four picks.
Courtesy of The Age:

Collingwood trade their future round two selection, future round three selection and future round four selection to the Gold Coast Suns for their round two (22), round three (46), round three (58), round five (79) and future round four selection.

Collingwood trade their round three selection (41) to Geelong for Nathan Kreuger and their round three selection (55).

Collingwood trade their round two selection (22) to Fremantle for their round two selection (27) and a future third-round pick.

Collingwood trades pick 43 to Western Bulldogs for Patrick Lipinski.

So Although Collingwood traded their future 2nd, 3rd, and 4th to Gold Coast, in further trading they restocked their 3rd and 4th and if they want I am sure they may be able to get a future 2nd with their current pick 27. Effectively receiving sufficient points for Daicos, bringing in Kruger and Lapinski and doing it without losing very much if anything at all. IMO brilliant trading by Wright. Very very savvy trading.
Once they receive more picks for Max Lynch they will have greater capacity to trade pick 27.

Clickbaits n updates. Deals will get done. Darcy Fort's old man is gunna be a happy chappy.

Slow news week means that even something simple like this will be hyped up by the media.

Fort will get done.

Such a slow trade week. Bit of a shame as it's usually a very exciting time of year.

They’ll probably ask for a future second round pick in the Lynch trade.

Which is holding up the ruck swap fest.
