A sincere "Thank You" to all of the Legends who post training reports and info snippets from your various sources (good, bad or indifferent). As someone who lives nowhere near the south-eastern Melbourne suburbs, and is only able to follow the club online and on-screen, any HFC news is welcome. Over the years I have found the Big Footy Hawthorn board to be the most entertaining source for all things HFC-related, rather than the so-called mainstream media.

Wishing everyone a great Christmas, filled with all kinds of Hawks-related presents, and a much-better-than-anticipated 2023! Cheers.

Sam Butler's flown under the radar, hasn't he? Very high raps when we drafted him, played 9 games in 2022 and showed quite a bit. I think his potential is huge.

Flew under the radar because he didn't get a clean run at it and because MacDonald & Ward showed more. One to watch in 2023 I reckon!

Didn’t have a preseason due to injuries so did really well to manage a few games. Another young player with significant upside imo

Just had twins. His partner is WA based so he’s been there with the kids and training with a few other Vic players including Shai Bolton. Hopefully back soon.

Anyone know why his partner still lives in WA? I get it for a year if the person was finishing off a degree, etc, but doesn't seem very sustainable... ?

it's not but if Brockman can establish himself then it would make his partners move east far easier atm it makes sense for his partner to stay in her home town close to family.

On the Hawk Talk podcast they mentioned that Impey was a no show at the AGM because he re-injured his shoulder. From memory he was walking laps at the last training session. Any insight?
