Interesting that Ponting thinks Warner deserves to go out on his own terms. I recall how well that worked out for him at the end of his career.
If you’re too self focused to realize you’ve become a liability then tough decisions should be made in the best interest of the team. It’s not tennis or golf, it’s a team sport.
Warner pretty lucky there’s nobody bashing down the door for his spot. His dismissals have been rubbish this summer.

That’s fair enough then. If he can contribute a bit for the next few innings a final Test in Sydney would be fitting. I reckon he will want to go to England though.

At least the AFL appears to be on the outside about equalisation.
The reality is the expansion clubs are just feeders to the strong VIC clubs.

There is no draft but there is a salary cap. The problem is there is no incentive to stop the best Australian players and imports from going to Sydney or Melbourne.

I think he got a bit too confident. Got to be aware of the the change of pace and angle when a new bowler starts a spell, especially a left armer
