Bombers in crisis and Tigers having literally nothing to play for.

Two factors at play. We saw against the Hawks and now in this game that the Richmond supporter base having been indifferent and not that bothered, have lit up as the finals approach and have really started to turn up. The other factor is that of all Victorian teams Essendon arguably and in my opinion definitely have the most resilient core base. Put the two together and you get 60K at a nothing game.

Sooner or later the Dons will beat us but 13 in a row now over 8 seasons for the Big 4 kings and it just underlines the recent awfulness for Essendon. May 2014 - over 8 years ago - was the last time Essendon beat the Tigers.

This is a real sore point for many of us. We need to stop the rot but I just didn’t see it happening last night. If there was genuine positivity around the club we could’ve got more last night..

It's the reserved members not showing up that will drop it below 90k and there's not alot you can do about that. We've only had 1 non Anzac day game reach 90k in the last 20 years. The way memberships work these days I don't think it can be done.

This shits me to tears.

10K more would have turned up today given the ability to. Even last night, premium seats sit empty why the top decks are full.

Dump reserved seats, move to reserve bays. Oversell memberships by 20% in those Areas meaning you can release more bays to the general public for sale or better access to better seats.

It is genuinely that simple, no sell back schemes no letting the club know you won’t use your seat this week. Simple.
