Think it will depend on who is available at our pick. If we don’t rate the players at that pick (but another club does) then splitting for two makes sense. What this says to me (from my very limited knowledge), is that I wouldn't want us to trade our first pick (currently 10/11) in order to gain an extra pick in top 20 (to get say 15 and 19). Whilst there is a variation in order of top 12/13 draftees, there seems to be a consensus as to who they are. Just the way I see it at the moment, but understand the counter view point...
Thanks for the info on Paddy Dow, pity the stubbornness about moving interstate , at least we would have had some compensation.Spoke with someone at the club the day after the trade period but not much to add that has not already been said. Still actively looking to trade up but we know we'll get someone we want at 10 regardless of what happens in the first 9 picks. Swans had interest in Dow but Dow did not want to move. Club needs and wants to hit the draft hard the next few years. Bullish on next year.
Or on the other hand he catches a break, gets an opportunity, gains some confidence, becomes best-22 and continues on to a 200 game career with a couple of premiership medallions. It ain't so completely unlikely. Thanks for the info on Paddy Dow, pity the stubbornness about moving interstate , at least we would have had some compensation.
Next year as an OOC and probably delist, we’ll get zilch.
Yup it’s a dream alright, but any drop of th demarcated top 5 /6 always makes for interest and excitement come draft night and it happens it’s part of lucky draw.We have a shot at Sheezle? boy oh boy wowee
Then I woke up….

Totally. Not to mention we do need some depthOr on the other hand he catches a break, gets an opportunity, gains some confidence, becomes best-22 and continues on to a 200 game career with a couple of premiership medallions. It ain't so completely unlikely.
What's your your thoughts on Adam D'Aoia? Not at that level
I am really hoping that will be the case.Or on the other hand he catches a break, gets an opportunity, gains some confidence, becomes best-22 and continues on to a 200 game career with a couple of premiership medallions. It ain't so completely unlikely.
What's your your thoughts on Adam D'Aoia?
inside mid so probably does not suite us however he is a likely type.
What selection range do you see him going?
Surely that's not the consensus rating for Voss, otherwise how was he overlooked in the MSD.Fwiw - ESPNs October rankings:AFL Draft Power Rankings: New names emerge in top 20
ESPN.com.au's draft expert Chris Doerre has revealed his AFL Draft Power Rankings for the month of October, with new names emerging as first-round options.t.co
1. Ashcroft
2. Phillipou
3. Wardlaw
4. Tsatas
5. Sheezel
6. Cadman
7. Humphrey
8. Clark
9. Mackenzie
10. Busslinger
11. Hustwaite
12. Hollands
13. Hayes
14. Hewett
15. Voss (SOM)
16. Konstanty
17. Hotton
18. Jones
19. Ginbey
20. Phillips
KM has persisted with Voss in his top-20 all year. Now also has listed another mature ager in Phillips who at least is more likely to be drafted that Voss, but still wouldn't go top-20 you'd think. Haven't seen any other draft watcher put Voss in their list. Happy for him (and for MV) if he does get picked up, but doesn't seem likely.Surely that's not the consensus rating for Voss, otherwise how was he overlooked in the MSD.
I know some of these are gone... but this is my rough rankings at the moment.
1. Cadman
2. Ashcroft
3. Wardlaw
4. Tsatas
5. Ginbey
6. Clark
7. Phillipou
8. Busslinger
9. Mackenzie
10. Humphrey
11. Hewett
12. Sheezel
Which ever name is the highest, I would strongly consider drafting.
EDIT: I forgot Tsatas
If I didn't have balls I'm sure my intent would suffer too. He’s not that far off doing that, intent without the ball is his Achilles heal.

Nothing wrong with not having balls.………..xxxx here comes that damn farmer again………….Baaaaaaa, I mean Mooooooooo!!If I didn't have balls I'm sure my intent would suffer too.
If both are available, it will be interesting which way we go at Pick 11...
Needs - Jefferson (could be a star)
Best Available - Phillipou
Wasn't Jefferson a 2nd round prospect a few weeks back? Why the love? I do not see that as a need at all. Have at least 5 ahead of it as far as positions go.I believe we'll participate in at least some sort of pick swap, but my preference for what we've got at this stage is Humphrey/Jefferson at pick 10 (too early for Hotton then?) and Gruzewski/Szybkowski/Burgiel at pick 29. Would also love to pick up Ned Cahill as an SSP recruit.
At best you’d think that we may get two good players with our first two picks, any other draftees after that is just pot luckPerfect result draft wise
2 genuine forward/mids, KPD, KPF/chopout ruck
Cal Twomey has Jefferson 10th in his latest power rankings. I personally think a KPF is one of our biggest list needs, we have 0 depth behind Harry and Charlie (JSOS/Kemp/Gov do not count and I see TDK playing predominantly ruck).Wasn't Jefferson a 2nd round prospect a few weeks back? Why the love? I do not see that as a need at all. Have at least 5 ahead of it as far as positions go.
If we're going KPD, I'd understand a little more.
I’ll take the challenge - with our current picks - 10,29, 49, 66 +Perfect result draft wise
