How many players are GWS expected to take? They have already taken 3, with another 3 picks (22, 34 and 51)

I wonder who will have a play at 22 or even 34. I’m pretty sure West Coast have a stack of future picks already.

I just realised he looks like a taller version of David Speirs, leader of the opposition in SA.

The Crows may trade to get Harry Barnett.

They would have to trade both their 2023 second round picks to get 22. That would be crazy.

Although, it is the crows.

Apparently they made a few bids for first round picks last night but no one was biting.

My predictions:

First pick: Richards
Second Pick: Phillips
Rookie: Elliot, Williams, Barkla- Cat B

Logic: Richards- we have been linked with him. I believe the club is still looking for small forwards having seen Gray and Motlop retire, Williams move to the back lines, Butters and Rozee move to the midfield and with Rioli and Fantasia in their late 20s.
Phillips- well, we’ve recruited an Evans from Geelong for the forward line, a Francis for the midfield, why not a Phillips for CHB? We were linked with him earlier and a ready to go monster minder is our greatest need.
Elliot- the connections to Parker and Davies are unmistakeable (unless I’m mistaken) with both playing cricket with his dad. Brother just made his first class debut and got an 80* batting at 9. Captain of his TAC Cup team- Parker loves that. Injured for most of his draft year- Parker loves that too.

These are my predictions, not my preferences. Personally, I’d be going for glory with that first pick- a boom or bust strategy. Keeler, Lemmey, Munkara or Scully (in that order) would be my ideal #36. If they are gone, Van Es or Richards.

I’m assuming Hayes, Hustwait, George, Barnett and Clarke are long gone by #36. I’d strongly consider D’Aloia if available at our second pick.

How is he fs?

I heard Bickley say something about Lemmey's mobility not being his biggest strength he's watched him for a few years too.

Talls with question marks over mobility are in for a long hoe at Port.

I would think mobility is his strength. Competitiveness and being a one trick pony are his weaknesses.

It is an absolute joke.

Between that and the reigning premiers collecting the Suns’ pick 7 for the noble sacrifice of paying Jack Bowes market value for the next 4-5 years, the league could do with someone in charge whose primary goal is running the league with competence and fairness in mind.

Narr, what the league will do is go and get a Geelong cronie to take over the footy boss role that Brad Scott had.

I believe Bartel is the current favourite.

Would we be able to get Matthew Slade's lad as father son ? Or is there some kind of yr rule? Played 203 games for Centrals.
