It's been a pretty average year on a few fronts despite a lot of promise and the beginnings of a new midfield foundation for the team.

The idea of Selwood getting a medal seems like a massive loss for good sportsmanship – the player who popularized ducking your head should't go out on a high note. But there you go.

Here's hoping we hit the draft lottery and kick our rebuild along. Honestly thinking about that is a lot more fun that watching Sydney lose another Grand Final. Normally I enjoy a good Sydney Grand Final loss, but this one is just a bit yuck.
