Talking about his old man kicking bags for fun. Gold!
His old man was a big name in GV footy in the 90’s just like Lachie Ash and Josh Rachele’s.

Tsatas is an inside/outside ball-getter who showed he could be a clearance specialist as well as an outside runner. At 186cm, he has physical development left in him, too.”

We won’t pass him up if he slides.

The highlights packages seem very ordinary this year Humphrey can’t hit a target but rated so highly. Tsatas doesn’t look much better Ginbey looks like he can play as does phillipou in my opinion just of the highlights. But what does it say about the draft when the highlights packages are So poor are the players ordinary or is it just poor editing by whoever put the highlights packages together

Wardlaw looks the pick of em for mine. Sheezel also. Pity both going to Kangas.

I've got faith in Tsatas being a gun. Let's hope he's there.

I think he'd be a gun addition to the team and Club, but you're not concerned that we won't have a single follower with elite foot skills to help get the footy to our forwards?
I like all of our kids, and we shouldn't be butchers, but that top class to put a sherrin in exactly the right spot makes such a difference to a leading forward or in creating deadly counter attack.
I had hopes Wardy would be that, and he's ok, but not sure he's that guy either.

Reckon Amon will be wing more often than not, and am really hoping we can find a mid who's part of that first chain of possession around stoppages that is so clean we are at clear advantage when the ball leaves his boot.

I think id like us to take Matteas Phillipou. The youngest in the draft, has a lot of growth and upside left in him. An seems the complete all round package. Brings class, speed and skill.

We’re talking about a kid that has never been seen to be anything less then a top 3 pick in the draft.

I’m not that answers the question. Top 3 is always only in comparison to other players. It didn’t mean they have an objective level of skill. There will also be a reason why he drops, if he does. Interested to know if he does have that ability to lower eyes and hit the forward pieces or whilst under pressure. I don’t have any questions on the clearance work.

I personally am pretty keen on Philippou from what I’ve heard. Given he’s mixing it up so well with all these other more developed players makes me keen to see him go on from there whilst in hawks colors.

The problem with being early in rebuild lots of gaps to fill so more conjecture on who to take. Likely we end up taking 4 picks 6,24,36,41 plus vickery and Lawrence I think. My thoughts to give us 3 options at each pick tho choose from
Preference: philippou jones magor aloia
Second picks: Mackenzie george Ryan leary
Third: tsatas konstanty Allan schuback
Others considered for last pick - lemmey gilbey macdonald binns long (although ruled out 2 as we already have a MacDonald and long).

Good idea to bring our later picks into the discussion.

Disclaimer - I haven't seen all of the prospects but I think a player like d'aloia in the third round would be ideal for us. Tackling machine, contested/clearance animal and imo was more impactful than phillipou in the first quarter of SA vs Vic Metro.

I would love to see a draft of

Tsatas/Humphrey
Jones/Weddle/hotton
D'aloia
Munkara (for the upside and the LOLs)

He’s told clubs he’d like to stay in Melbourne, so that rules out Suns, the top 3 picks in the draft have now shifted, due to Giants making the play to get Cadman at 1, with Sheezel and Wardlaw rumored to headed to North.

Players don’t really get thrown up as a potential Number 1 pick without these traits that are bolded above, and Tsatas is really only a chance to slide because of some rumours of the specific needs or wants of clubs in the top 5, and even then he might still not make it passed pick 3.
