Vickery is more a small defender. Someone to potentially look after the elusive forwards pockets like Cameron or Stengle. Plus if he comes on quickly it could allow Hardwick to play elsewhere for the next few years.

Gee whiz, a bit of Birchall in these highlights. Do we dare add another half back flanker? If we see Day's future further up the ground as well as Scrimshaw on occasion it's a no brainer.

If we can pick this guy up for a discount I don't think we should be saying no based on positional needs, he has a lot of tools

I’m not always a fan of turning defenders into forwards and vice versa - but could he have a future as a pressure forward?

Seems to get a really good kick and has some dash to his game. Surely we pick him up.
Seems a talent, he's essentially a Bramble clone to an extent for whom I rate. I'm happy to pick him up later in the draft as he has some very good traits. But if they see Seamus playing that lockdown, then run and link back role as well, we may pass purely based on needs and non-needs. And I'd understand that as we have plenty of class options for those positions already. He's too small to play midfield for us with Ward, Moore and MacDonald seemingly taking the small midfielder positions for the future. I like him a lot, just not sure he may suit a need in that scenario.

Seems to have talent - certainly a ranging kick & some dash by foot.

If we get the NGA discount then just grab him for talent's sake - work out what to do with him over the next 12-24 months.

NOrth supporters seem pretty convinced they are now locked into sheezel and Wardlaw.

* with the draft defining selection it seems.
That’s been the mail for some time now. Will they Norf it up and take Clark at 3?

Of those likely to be available at our first pick, Philipou looks like the clear standout to me. He has the X-factor and the highest ceiling. I would be interested to hear the case against.
The case against is that he plays like a young Luke Hodge, only bigger and quicker. We can’t have that now can we. 🤦‍♂️

Agree wholeheartedly. If he is available after pick 40 we simply must take him. We aren’t at that stage of a rebuild to think too hard on positional needs we need talent everywhere and even if thinking positionally we only have hardwick and Morris as small defenders. Seems tough with pace and a nice decision maker and solid kick what’s not to like? If we end up with an excess we can always trade them to fill holes in a few years time when our future challenging team structure takes shape.

Will be interesting to see what those contenders with early teens picks might be prepared to pay for 1 early pick. Dees could get Humphrey with 6 and have 2 firsts and 2 seconds in 2023. so what about hawks give 6 and 24 for dees 13,37 f1,f2? Roughly valued at end of first round pick gained for dees to trade up both 2022 picks.

Helll no I'm not trading 6 and 24 for 13,18*,36*, 37
