In the new Humphrey video They keep cutting away just before you see where the kick lands and the couple of kicks you do see are cherry picked to make it look like he can kick because the kid can’t kick other than that he’s a great player. maybe Mitchell thinks he can fix it but maybe we should just pick somebody who can kick

That's why you never judge a player off of a highlights package. Hopefully the player we select is the BPA and can kick well too.

It’s his kicking for goal that’s the problem. His field kicking is not elite but not a huge issue either.

To be fair I’m not attacking him he’s just very poor by foot for goal and around the ground if he was a better kick he would be number 1 in this draft in my opinion. I could be wrong but I think he took up football late he was a soccer player before so he’s kicking really could improve.

He also came back from a knee injury mid-season. Injuries really take a toll on set shots, the best process is a repeatable one and little deviations really put players off their mark. It'll come down to strengthening the muscles supporting the knee, building up pain tolerance, and just working on a sharper technique overall. He's not an elite shot, but he will certainly be a constant threat around goals.

His kicking was never elite, but his field kicking has been really sharp around the ground at times and has plenty of penetration. Just look at Petracca or Dangerfield, that's the type of player you're hoping to get. Sure they can be rubbish kicks sometimes, but they win more games off their own back than just about anyone. I'm fully on the Humphrey train now, if it's not Tsatas I hope it's him. Interesting that Gold Coast hasn't been mentioned a ton in relation to Bailey, it's mostly been Ginbey with a little bit of Clark and Phillipou.

Not sure if you've kept up with the Phantom draft I'm doing for us over on the draft board, but curious to know what you think of Billy Dowling and Jakob Ryan who I took with our third and 4th selections.

I obviously really like them, hence why I picked them up. But I'm certainly not as informed as you.

I think that Humphrey has that cult hero type vibe around him he can garner excitement from people even with his kicking problems that’s why I think Gold Coast will take him they need that type of player on there list to attract people up there to the club and to games.

Because he averaged 20 disposals, 2 goals and over 4 tackles a game and is a genuine match winner. His ceiling is crazy high.

He'll also continue to develop his strength and conditioning once in an elite program.

I was listening to Cal twomey on sen he said Jhye Clark is between Hawthorn and Geelong that’s he’s range i’m hoping we get him he seems like the safest bet in this draft

I think he’s the type of player that actually would suit Essendon and if that helps with another player to slid to us the all the better that would make us a very happy team at Hawthorn
