Are we purely just going for shock factor with picks? Not every pick has to be hail Mary kinnear, nothing wrong with taking a known quantity every once in a while

2024-25 might be a nervy couple of years. Don't know who is playing VFL though, won't have any depth.

Ditto for his highlights package - some pretty cool stuff on there.
This was all signalled well in advance when KB stated he didn't think there was too much difference in talent from late first round onwards.

No doubt they have a long way to go. It's why only one midfielder in the last decade has won a premiership under 22 years of age. (And that was Bontempelli, who had it given to him.)

who exactly is a known quantity in a draft? here's a fact, not one of these players whether they're pick 1 or pick 200 have played a game at the highest level.

As far as I am concerned we had 2 good players.

The good news is we have two Warners.
Two Warners and Rowbottom blonde ambitions.
We didn't really need a small forward or even a winger. The two areas we are lacking is a big bodied mid and a KPD capable of taking on the 200cam forwards and we have addressed neither need the last two nights.

At the end of the day we took 3 players that were not on my radar at all, only one of which I had heard of.

seems he only moved to the wing earlier this season. Prior to that he always played inside mid.
Kicking isn't great, and isn't too fast but he runs and runs for days. Sounds like we're taking a punt and hoping he develops

Bunch of young guys came up against hardened campaigners. Give it a few years and our young guys will be experienced, wily mids who hopefully will win us a flag. Just wasn't quite our time in 2022.
