That's why I think we will regardless of who we trade in or trade out. There will be a lot of midfielders around this mark, should be a few talls too. I expect Keeler, Cadman and Busslinger to be gone though.
Hayes may be still there. I would take him IF he is. I will be disappointed with us taking a midfielder this draft.
No idea about Grant but if Clayton was under instruction to take a tall he didn’t get that right. Grant was 192 but played like he was 182. Henderson, Tarrant and Rance were all top 20 in that draft from memory (Concrete Head’s draft too, I think).Didn't that also get us into trouble? From the stories I've read, Clayton was pressured into recruiting J Grant and Walsh wasn't he?
Did you hit Zuckerberg up for his original hot girl ranking algorithm or build your own?Hi Doggies Fans & Draft Watchers - pardon the intrusion.
For those who might be interested I've created a thread over at the Draft hub about the BigFooty 2022 National Draft Crowdsourced Rankings (!!) which allows BF draft fans like yourself to participate in creating a 'crowdsourced player power ranking'. You can read about it on that thread or go straight to the survey site here to cast your own votes towards a crowdsourced ranking.
It's got close to 4000 votes since launching this morning so whether you're a draft guru or just an interested onlooker we'd love to have your input into this different approach to ranking the prospective draftees for 2022.
It's very simple - just go to Who is the better prospect for the 2022 AFL National Draft? and rank the player you think is better from each random pair that are shown...do it as many times as you like and see what player combos you get shown.
Below is a snapshot of the top 10 so far but you can see the full results here. Love to have you join in!
Note: the survey is about choosing which player you think is the better prospect so the scores you see below are the estimated chance (based on the BigFooty crowd responses) that a player will win (i.e. will be chosen) against any other randomly chosen player (from the pre-populated list of ~45 top prospects). For example, a score of 100 means the player is predicted to be selected every time and a score of 0 means the player is predicted to not be selected every time.

Walsh was highly rated in his year, he was just destroyed by injuries.

The last decades firsts have given us Macrae, Bont, English, Dunkley, Naughton, Richards, Bailey Smith, Weightman, Jamarra and Darcy. That rubbish is what got us in this position in the first place.

Not tall enough KPF are only getting taller see Darcy at 207cm Would have to think 196+ is the minimum requirement now unless they are exceptionalTwomey's best 25 prospects

The surprise for me is no Keeler. He wasn't amazing in the carnival but thought he did enough particularly early on in the carnival. He's the most talented player in the draft IMO.
Not sure about Weddle being so far up there also. I thought he did outshine Hayes as a key defender but his height at 192cm worries me a little.

one of the best rucks in the draft, he's slipped a bit in rankings so could be a late first/early second option
Has shades of Tim Englisht to his game
I think its a young Tex WalkerYep, who is it?
Like George, Philippou or Hustwaite for us at around the 10-11 mark, having not seen heaps of any of the prospects yet.
George as a genuine medium forward with potential to push into the midfield would be a nice change from shoehorning midfielders into our forward line.
With a forward line of Naughton, Lobb, Bruce & JUH; there is no room for a medium.
I don’t like the pick on list fit as we don’t have a spot for that player but would take a higher impact medium (Sheezel) if available at our pick. Sheezel should go top 3, so unless we get a really early pick somehow, better to take a super quick winger (who has an inside game) OR just load up on talls.
There are better talls to get this year than I have seen for a while. Much rather double or even triple dip or quadruple dip on talls.
Not a huge fan for us for any of the talls on offer around that pick.
We still roll Dunkley, Bont, Smith and some others through there who I’d all classify as mediums. George is very good at ground level anyway by all reports.
Cadman or Busslinger should both be available.
