No, I looked at it and while a small sample, not a great pattern yet.

#TedDougChris - Looked like you were going to really dislike my response for much of the night, but 109 is probably not a VC amount you would take. He's only played us a few times with one ton prior, now has two tons.

I'm down to 13 before trades. Between that and all the rookies named this week I think it would be easier to just start a new team at this point.

Know your pain Baz, I'm looking like 16 players at a pinch thanks top Clark out - don't get it from such a shit team?!

Hewett to Salem is looking like a good trade

Hewett to Salem
Clark to Brayshaw

should be easy

Not being a bit harsh on Hewie?

VC question:

I put the vc on Doc which I’ll take.

I have 22 green dots playing this week.

If I move some one on the bench to put on a bye player and C them while E my green dot, is that emergency player counted in the final 18? Or ignored as I will still have 21 on field to consider my best 18 without the E?

Odds are otherwise I’ll bench the rookie that goes 100 while my others spud it

This is how Butler looked when I forgot to put him on field in Round 12 FYI so shouldn’t be an issue. He didn’t make top 18 but still looks like an E that worked

I'm 99% sure the emg score will count if its in your best 18

Thanks.

Not like Stephens looks like he will post a decent score anytime soon so off to the bench he goes!

Only the players on the ground count I was told, so if you have a green dot on the bench, and even if you have him as an emergency, I don't think it counts over the period of the byes - so you get a maximum possible of 22 if they are all on the ground. You could leave a bye player on the ground for you (c) and decide as the rounds progress because the bye players are not locked until the start of last game.

If someone has a different experience I'd be happy to hear

Nah that's not true. I had 22 in the first bye round and had Neale as an EMG and he counted.

OK thanks, that's different to what Warnie at the Traders was saying (twice) - unless I completely misunderstood - which is not entirely out of the question 🥴

I've never been fortunate enough to test it out ;) Maybe Warnie has never been as fortunate enough to test his own advice either :tearsofjoy:

So on that basis you could have as many as 26 playing and your best 18 would still count? I wonder if you started a new team Round12, and another Round 13 and another Round14, stacked the side for best 18 with 8 more best possible, would you have a better chance to win the weekly prize?😈

Yeah I think you've had a misunderstanding somewhere along the line...

Emgs only come onto the ground for non playing players so you can only ever have 22

Yeah not sure what you're misunderstanding. An emergency only comes on if you have a non-playing player on the ground. In Round 12 I captained Kelly and emergency'd Neale so that I could get my VC score. Kelly was on his bye so I still only had 22 scores to count from.

The emergency only counts if you have a non player though.

I think what Warnie is saying is if you have 23 greens, 22 on field the 23rd guy can't count in your best 18.

But if that guy scored 100 you could loop him by putting a bye player there and taking a different guy off field.

Yeah, I understand that, the 26 is only about options (unless you want spend all day setting it up after teams are announced) It's 18 all three weeks, but from 22 (if all playing) with another 4 that could be changed through the course of the round if needs be.

"I wonder if you started a new team Round12, and another Round 13 and another Round14, stacked the side for best 18 with 8 more best possible, would you have a better chance to win the weekly prize?😈"

Probably needed to add "if needed" after the highlighted stuff. Late outs and the like

Fair enough and yeah you could (and Im pretty sure people do) set up teams just to win the bye rounds. Not my thing but if it wins you some cash why the hell not I guess.

Your original post (before the edit) made it sound like you thought you could have 26 playing, my mistake
