Listened to Bat Out Of Hell at top volume in his memory.

I had it on earlier while cooking tea, missus walked in after work and asked if I’d put it on his memory. Had no idea he’d passed. Close to my fav all time album.

Was at 2011 GF but good for me was on the other side of the ground and didnt hear a thing.

At the moment my starting line up , with averages given to players from last year, amount to 1486 with Sicily and 5 rookies all having zero as their average. l'm interest in knowing what others are thinking would be a reasonable score to end up with after the first round and what their team averages are currently..

If you're running with 14 premo's and 8 Rookies / mid-price .....you should be looking at 2,000 points min

This is just in simplistic terms:

14 Premo Keepers @ 100 each .......= 1,400 points
8 Rookies / MP players @ 60 each .. = 480 points
1 Capt score @ extra 100 .............. = 100 points
___________________________Total 1,980 points

Rookies are loosely priced at 25 points for a $123K player

Arguably $500K + ........although you'd classify Sicily as a fallen Premo @$448K due to injury

2100+ is a good score in the early rounds until upgrades start

I think now you really want 100+ now from your defenders.
Forwards are always the worst line and I can't believe there are people on here who think Dunkley isn't worth the money. FOOLS

Defenders > 90avg = the top 27 selections
Forwards > 90avg = the top 8 selections

Heeney, Treloar, Dunkley, English, Duncan have all ave 100 ......last year 8 players averaged 90+ ....another 4 players were a few points off 90

85 would take us all the way down to De Goey @16th.
We got more than 8 last year as we lost a bunch in Hall, JZ, Zorko etc
8 are left to us over 90. This year if one of my forward midpricers averages 85 I will be keeping them all year.

I agree, I kept Daniher all year last season, he didn’t average that.

Other issues kept popping up and he kept throwing in a decent score when req. looped him a heap. Ave 80 odd by memory and played every week so not terrible.

Yeah same - but I was selling my arse for more trades the week prior to the finals commencing.

To be fair De Goey 85 season average does not reflect his actual value as a 2022 SC forward since the vast majority of his 2021 owners only traded him after his role change and were recipients of a 110+ average. He should be treated as a SP Fwd in the same way as Hall is looked at as a SP Def this year.

And durability. Last year carted 13 players from start to finish, made a big dif! (plenty of luck involved to be fair)
4x defenders
4x mids
2x rucks
2x forwards
and some fella called Aiden Fyfe who I still have no idea what he looks like.

Yep,
defence - top 15 = better than 94.5 average
midfield- top 15 = better than 108.7 average
ruck- top 4 = better than 115.2 avg
forwards- top 15- better than 85.9 avg
Midfield we need 8 rather than 6 so It is probably more like top 20 which is 104.9 avg.
These are goals for what you want from a premo purchased r1. A mid pricer who averages within say 5ppg from these figures is a keeper IMO.
