In what world are we getting a pick around 40 for Hayes? Will get us a pick around 40 this year.
The same nuffies you see defending Ken on Facebook, punt on Port ar home each week and keep the odds down (especailly against teams with smaller supporter bases) despite the losses.Or it will be just like basically every home game against a decent team where we start $1.70 to $2.10 favourite and lose.
Has the guy who wrote this article actually spoken to anyone who has seen Port this pre-season. Lord and Barkla have not been really standing out but Scully. Visentini and to a lesser extent Jackson have. Fails to mention a couple of handy players in JHF and Riloi impressing and certain to make club debuts.Phwooaar plenty to look forward to lads.
'PORT ADELAIDE
The Power endured a disappointing 2022 where they started with a shock 0-5 run and never recovered.
But Port Adelaide still possess a list with strengths across the park and won’t need to turn to their young guns just yet.
Tall forward Ollie Lord did look to be the best prospect of an early debut until a nasty collision at training saw him sidelined this month.
Lord copped a knee to the back, lacerating a kidney, and he is now recovering after a stint in hospital.
Rookie Nathan Barkla has impressed after coming through the club’s Next Generation Academy, but a Rd 1 debut looks unlikely.'

You can take the port out of the boy
That Gold Coast trial game last season spilled right over into the season.
Throw the “It’s only pre-season” talk in the bin.
Taking the foot off the pedal is what we do. Even did it through the Choco era.Imagine coaching for a decade and fumbling the simplest of things.
Preparing for a prelim
Preparing for r1.
All within 6 months of each other.
Fair feat to put your foot on your own throat thoughTaking the foot off the pedal is what we do. Even did it through the Choco era.
Bit of an odd time to go for a holiday.
Wonder where to.
I am not sure it was a nightmare, he just wasn’t as present in that role as his all Australian midfield years, and it was too early to move him out when they did. We have to transition into a new midfield like you said, the younger guys are ripe to step up, but he is still way too good both performance and health wise to be transitioned totally out of the team. I think part time mid/high half forward will be a good role for him now.Im a bit concerned with what we do with Boak.
Love the guy, true champion of the club, but we need a new exciting midfield. Rozee, Butters, JHF... Wines is a lock.
Boak on the HFF was a nightmare
And we had no-one to replace him with back then, so our midfield suffered. That's not the case any more.Boak played the Hinkley high half forward the best out of anyone maybe bar Ebert
Its just a unrewarding role

I agree... I don't think hbf would be any better.... But he needs a new home and be a 2nd string midfielderIm a bit concerned with what we do with Boak.
