Being out of contract and being on the edge of delistment ...hard to see him being on the list next year
Nah, it will be a Shrodinger's Broomhead type situation where the club never knows if he sucks or not, so has to keep him around.

What's the word on Lipinski's ankle injury? Just a normal Collingwood minor sprain i.e. sidelined for 8-10 weeks?
Out for 2 years apparantely haha.

jokes.

Will be available for round 1. So just a rolled ankle.

So, serious question here… what can Murphy do that Wilson can’t? Wilson needs to position himself to make the most of Roughy/Howe/Maynard/Dean/Murphy all being out at once.

It’s as plain as the nose on your face that it’ll go that way, but it’d be real nice to see him surrounded by a full compliment of defenders!

I think it’d be much easier to transition into senior footy standing beside Howe, Roughy, Moore, Maynard and IQ v Madgen, Wilson, Noble and Ruscoe. The question then is if he needs those guys around him in order to make the standard is he really up to it?.. It’s why I’m desperately hoping we go Wilson > Madgen in Rd 1 to see what he has with a decent (not great) mix around him.

It’s the most frustrating aspect of the Dean injury! Early season with no Roughy was the perfect time to get him exposed to senior footy and maybe get 10-15 matches into him before Roughy either retires or starts to slow down. Our injury profile right now is reasonably solid it’s just the type and role that’s killing us…

Is Ash Johnson injured?
The club says no, but wasnt at training yesterday, or what I saw of the vfl practice game the first half, or last wed training...

In the morwell game he did hurt himself and I didn't see him again.

Murphy is a much more talented breaker of bones and tearer of ligaments - he's elite at it - one of the best in the league.

Well I simply can’t argue with that.

Stuff all injuries but includes Rouhhead, Dean, Murphy and Kelly. All tall defenders. Thats rotten luck. It's a real opportunity for Wilson I hope. I'd back him in. I wonder if Hartley is on the supplementary list?

And Maynard suspended. Certainly calls for some innovation and creates unexpected opportunity for the likes of Murphy, Madgen and even Ruscoe. Will any of them make the most of it?

Murphy is out until round 6-9.

Surely Cox doesn’t get up if he has sprained his ankle? He’s putting a hell of a lot of weight through those joints and ligaments.

OUT Cox T.Brown
IN Cameron Kreuger

Playing an iffy Cox would be ridiculous.

Not sure about Cameron getting the go off recent form.

Maybe they go another forward for Bianco. Two talls in mihocek and Krueger and several marking mid sized players in Henry, Elliot (plays tall), De Goey and a tall-ish newbie like Johnson or McInness

The two tall structure might work better now with the quicker ball movement

Who would serve as back up ruck when Grundy needs a rest or if he gets injured?
