I think he’s a perfectly fine kid don’t get me wrong, pretty hard worker. If we’re being honest I just don’t think he has a skill set to make it at league level. This kid not much chop then mate?

His ball use it average, he doesn’t find it awfully lots, 4 times this year over 25 touches in the VFL playing full time role on the wing, which for me is concerning because he’s fit and covers a lot of ground.
I dunno, maybe you can unlock something in him like you did when you took Seedsman, but Seedsman always had elite ball use

I'll back my judgement thanks...Mutineer - thoughts?
That’s probably overs on your end so we’ll take it
What draft pick would you value him at to come cheap?I'll back my judgement thanks...
If he comes cheap enough plenty to like about what he brings to the table....
Collingwood have already delisted 4 players, he wasn't one of them including the Brown brothers who played 6 and 11 AFL games this season.

Pies cut sons of gun among four delistings
Collingwood lets both Callum and Tyler Brown gowww.afl.com.au
COLLINGWOOD has delisted both Callum and Tyler Brown, sons of former captain Gavin Brown, among a total of four players let go on Tuesday.
Callum was taken as a father-son selection in the 2016 draft at pick 35, while Tyler was selected with pick 50 the following year, also under the father-son system.
The Magpies also delisted Isaac Chugg and Liam McMahon.
Seems the obvious deal if we are truly interested in making him a Crow though given his age and potential it probably favours us.What draft pick would you value him at to come cheap?
Swap for Frampton?
interesting pies draft watchers reckons that favours themSeems the obvious deal if we are truly interested in making him a Crow though given his age and potential it probably favours us.
Yeah a 25 year 10 month old player that's been on an AFL list for 8 seasons and played the royal sum of 24 games, 3 games in his first 5 seasons against a yet to turn 20 player that's been on an AFL list for only 2 seasons and played 12 AFL games, 11 in his first season under coach Buckley...interesting pies draft watchers reckons that favours them
that suggests it favours nobody![]()
This would seem to fit the club's recruitment of attracting back SA born players. Hately was a very low cost get and Poulter may be too. Now if these guys don't end up making it, but have cost very little by way of draft capital, thats no problem and its better to try than to regretYeah a 25 year 10 month old player that's been on an AFL list for 8 seasons and played the royal sum of 24 games, 3 games in his first 5 seasons against a yet to turn 20 player that's been on an AFL list for only 2 seasons and played 12 AFL games, 11 in his first season under coach Buckley...
Even in Poulter's one solitary AFL game in 2022 he racked up 3 clearances.
Like I said if he's obtainable cheaply he has the potential to be a nice pick up given his age and potential....not a lot to lose plenty to gain.

ON THE OUTER: Why can't he get a game for your club?

Poulter has speed, athleticism and a super penetrating left boot Hately can only dream about. This would seem to fit the club's recruitment of attracting back SA born players. Saw a lot of poulter in first season at Collingwood. Thought he looked great for a first year player. Will play wing begin then tall inside mid. Composed great kick . Not fast but composure makes him look faster be a great get for crows with little draft capitalThink of Poulter like Simon Tragenza.
That’s an interesting comparison, Caleb Poulter is a very smooth moving footballer and Trigger always looked so mechanical to me.Think of Poulter like Simon Tragenza.
Well yeah that will happen when he was always positioned of the contest and not in the stoppagePoulter has speed, athleticism and a super penetrating left boot Hately can only dream about.
The disappointing thing with Hately has been his inside the contest footy, an area he looked good in as a junior.
Tragenza was a crap kick, Poulter has a much better legThink of Poulter like Simon Tragenza.
Not so, Hately played a pure midfield role and never really looked an inside mid at AFL leve, probably why they tried him on the wing?Well yeah that will happen when he was always positioned of the contest and not in the stoppage

IMO looked better as an inside extractor than as someone with not good pace and average-to-okay kicking skillsNot so, Hately played a pure midfield role and never really looked an inside mid at AFL leve, probably why they tried him on the wing?
They both played wing. They both ran with the ball, and as it stands currently they both have poor disposal by foot.
Even when he played pure midfield he was not the extractor that was left to Berry and CrouchNot so, Hately played a pure midfield role and never really looked an inside mid at AFL leve, probably why they tried him on the wing?
Uh I don’t know. Maybe position but not attributes imo. A lot taller than Trigger. He had a lot of power through his legs. Poulter more rangy. They both played wing. They both ran with the ball, and as it stands currently they both have poor disposal by foot.
He is very Tragenza like both in position and attributes.
Yeah I like this, although I think we should try to squeeze another pick out of GC, probably their 2ndI'll probably get howled down for this suggestion, but i'd like to see us make a play for Bowes and pick 7
Crows give 2023 1st to GC for Bowes + pick 7.
Then pick 5 for rankine.
We then get rankine and still have a pick before port in the first round of this years draft
Yep hes an elite transition runner ( 2 way) …. Keays is prob the most similar player we have with his runningAs described on the Richmond board today:
'What he does is produce huge amounts of pressure and constantly involved in contests and link up plays. A lot of what he does is getting from spot to spot, whether that is rewarded or not. He makes it harder for he opposition to get the ball out cleanly and to move it cleanly. He provides us with an outnumber in contests and another option in link up play.
So, for a position, Lambos HFF role or a rotation in the midfield.
But the thing is that when he plays we are more competitive and when he doesn't we are less competitive. That is a highly valuable player'
