I want pick 5 and 7. Give GC pick 23 for Rankine or we take him to the PSD. No one is taking on 1.5m next year. Trade 7 to Richmond for 12 and 19. That leaves us with pick 5,12,19.
If you take his draft position out of the equation I can see a pick around 17-23 is fair. We also need to consider that gc are essentially pushing him out by lowballing his contract. If I had seen 2 full years of a top 5 b & f from Izak I would be happy to pay pick 10. That hasn't been the case.
The AFL is a joke. Just rename it WWE already. We ain't getting Bowes, so put that one to bed. He's headed to Geelong.
So Bowes is owed $1.6 mill for 2023/24. Do Geelong have that room in their cap for Bowes at $800k/season and Bruhn and Henry and?We ain't getting Bowes, so put that one to bed. He's headed to Geelong.
bowes will go to brisbaneSo Bowes is owed $1.6 mill for 2023/24. Do Geelong have that room in their cap for Bowes at $800k/season and Bruhn and Henry and?
Or do they get Bowes to take say $400k for each of the next two seasons and point him in the direction of some not in the cap lucrative property developments to m ore than compensate him for the shortfall?
AFL needs to get real on checking out what's happening at Geelong
Swans talking to Aaron Francis?
bowes will go to brisbane
lots of property development going on there too
Gold Coast Suns have some draft concessions stripped back by AFL
Gold Coast will be forced to match bids on a pair of promising academy prospects next year after the AFL stripped back some of its draft concessions.
However the Suns could yet retain their priority access to Darwin with the league deferring a call on whether Gold Coast will keep its preferential treatment in the NT capital.
Gold Coast received a host of concessions at the end of 2019, most notably being granted pick No. 1 in that year’s draft, allowing them to take both Matt Rowell and Noah Anderson.
Among the other allowances provided to the Suns was the ability to pre-list players from Darwin and their Queensland academy zone without needing to match bids on those players
That will mean that promising talls Jed Walter and Ethan Read, both eligible for next year’s draft and both of whom played in Saturday’s futures grand final curtain raiser at the MCG, will be subject to bids from rival clubs like northern academy players at other clubs.
But the status of Darwin product Beau Tedcastle, eligible for this year’s draft, remains up in the air. The league has committed to making a decision soon as to whether Gold Coast will have priority access to the forward.
Well ....it does now affect Gold Coasts Draft pick requirements for 2023 .....so it is actually a relevant piece of news, given the Rankine upcoming trade
They'll still think next year's pick will just be a wasteWell ....it does now affect Gold Coasts Draft pick requirements for 2023 .....so it is actually a relevant piece of news, given the Rankine upcoming trade
So…which Victorian clubs does this benefit?Gold Coast Suns have some draft concessions stripped back by AFL

They need plenty of future 2nds & 3rds for points.Well ....it does now affect Gold Coasts Draft pick requirements for 2023 .....so it is actually a relevant piece of news, given the Rankine upcoming trade
Not with the floods.bowes will go to brisbane

Premier League. Geelong/Richmond are Manchester City. The AFL is a joke. Just rename it WWE already.
Beau Tedcastle goes alright too, seen him live a couple of times here at Mars, very clever and skilled small/medium forward..Gold Coast Suns have some draft concessions stripped back by AFL

If Bowes wants to establish himself as an AFL footballer it would probably be the worst place to be in terms of potential opportunitiesView attachment 1520237
This has to be a joke .....if I'm Bowes Manager, I'm steering him right away from the "Gold Diggers" who want the wrapper, but not the contents
BRIS ...choc-a-block midfield ....bringing in Dunkley, Ashcroft, and Fletcher ....all BRIS want is the #7 pick to use for Dunkley .....Bowes will find himself back in a minor DEF role again, like at GC
Beau Tedcastle goes alright too, seen him live a couple of times here at Mars, very clever and skilled small/medium forward..
Richmond the next fairytale story on the list I think. So…which Victorian clubs does this benefit?
They have to start now to allow a bit of lead time (after bLoos have had their turn at the tit).Richmond the next fairytale story on the list I think.
I would hope next years first is nowhere near being in play. This is very important news
Next years 1st of ours now comes into play more than it did befofe
Peak dusty ? What that meanI would hope next years first is nowhere near being in play.
That needs to be used for JHF. That's it. No-one else.
Gold Coast (and the Vic media) suddenly seem to think Rankine is peak Dusty.
They think we should be paying top dollar like he is Dusty in 2018Peak dusty ? What that mean
a dusty type at his peak equals rankine
is that correct
