i feel ya with ward. would be an amazing m9/10. i think the fomo around players is crazy. would you still be in the same boat if the player you needed to bring in was brodie and not xerri?
Yeah same thing, Ward will make good money, just slower than the rest.

Just comes back to that question, what's a trade worth? Are trades worth less this year because we have more? Going to be interesting as the year pans out.

The first 2 rounds of this season have been an anomaly, make no mistake about it. Most of the mid-pricers and high price cash cows have worked out and done incredibly well. We haven't had any carnage yet. Make no mistake carnage is coming, the SC gods won't allow this sort of stuff to continue.

A little bit of that, but I think he won't be coming up against Bailey Williams and a bunch of WAFL players every weekend. His rd1 score, albeit a good one for his price, is more realistic

North fixture:
Lions
Swans
Dogs
Cats
Blues

I'd bet good money Xerri doesn't average 80+ over the next 5 rds. Maybe he doesn't even go 70 or 75.

Again, he's a great cash cow and I wish I had him, but I wouldn't move mountains to get him.

Big O
Hickey
Pom
Stanley
shit I don't even know who the blues ruckman is

Brother, just back your gut! We're 2 rounds in and scores of 2300-2400 have been bad, what is this witchcraft!?!. This shit aint normal, lol

We got 5 extra trades, we got trade boosts, this is a clean slate, there's no right or wrong answer

the problem is riding wards 50s whilst the other rookies are pumping out tons.. cash is good but points are also great. you just dont want to risk not having barlow v2.7.93

Pittojet and TDK have been rucking very well

It's more the midfields and the overall team. North aint winning any of those games, they'll struggle to get within 20-30 points.

Yep for sure. Just gotta make a decision and hope it works out. I've made a firm decision I'm going to back in my underperforming premos, which means I can't afford to grab Xerri and Rachele. I got the rest but, and I think more are coming, so I think (HOPE!) I'll be OK

If Whitfield scores 70 again against the Suns, what do I do, I'm screwed. No money in the bank, no player to trade him do. So yeah, just back your decision and hope for the best, all we can do

If Ward scores 50 again and Xerri/Rachele go 100+, I'm in a world of hurt lol

forgot all about the Pitto kenty.

Nope.
I switched crisp into any teams I posted rather than go
Hey folks you should all pick Hall he is super.
And kill my pod.
I'm not sure last year's number one defender counts as a well-kept secret?

Why is everyone jumping off Hough?

Cheap rookie, 117k, scored 47 on debut and missed a week due to COVID protocols.

JS is sound and he's highly rated at the club. Probably one of the only cheap rookies we actually have and people are trading him.

Nuts.

Missed a week with COVID protocols too, but no-ones trading him out.

:drunk:
It was never about his out with the protocols. Hough was the last to be selected for me, questionable JS when they get some of their players back from injury.
With 35 trades, you can piss away 10 of them and still be well off.

I got a feeling North lose by 60 points this weekend and Xerri scores 40-60 against BigO and Fort. Got Sydney and Hickey the week after that.

iirc BigO did a good job at keeping opposition rucks to low-ish scores last year. Unsure if that's continued this year.

I don't have Xerri and I can't get him in, and I'm not happy about it. I think he'll still be a great cash cow despite what I said above. The big appeal with Xerri is if Goldy gets injured, or if North decide to effectively retire him early, Xerri becomes an F6 keeper. I'm very worried not owning him for that reason.
North are going to get pole-axed in the next 5 weeks. Could be bad for their rookie priced players cash gen leading in to upgrade season.

I reckon DE is just about the hardest thing for a AFL player to fix.
Tanks come with pre seasons etc
Taranto will always be a butcher as an example. We say it every year. he just needs to improve his DE.
They very rarely do.
Travis Cloke likes this.

If you could only get one of Xerri and Stephens, which one would you go for?

I'm leaning towards Xerri but am wary of him being a trap.
The evidence so far shows Xerri as primary ruck with Goldy the chop-out. I think that through the season this will rotate here and there, to Keep Xerri fresh and not too sore. His potential to reach 450K or higher seems far greater than that of Stephens. He might even end up being a top 6-8 fwd.
The only way Xerri could prove to be a trap is if he spuds it, which doesn't see to be the case so far.

Thanks, Xerri it is. My worry was North deciding to switch back to Goldy as their main ruck but his potential price seems like he's the one worth going with.

McEntee playing for Port tomorrow night
McInnes to debut for Collingwood, pick 23 from 2020.
Damn it, a week or 2 or 3 too early. Both could be decent rookies.

Next week we might be forced to correct and grab NOD, the week after we might need to grab McInness/McEntee.

With Nods sub score you may be able to wait a week on him.
He wont get much of a first price rise you wouldn't think.
