Geez, Essendon's going to have the slowest one way running midfield.I always thought Essendon would be the destination for Mathieson. He’d be reunited with his best mate Parish.
In all honesty this could be a master plan....let GC grab him in the PDS and get pick 8 and Dunkley when they salary dump him next yearSo be it, Dunkley is one man and not assured to take us to the promised land.
We will have other targets identified if it falls through.
Trust in our recruitment team and understand we will not pay overs for an uncontracted player who has designated us as his destination.
Are the Suns in a premiership window?
What value will Dunks put on that?
How does this concern Brisbane’s goal to secure the picks and the points they need?Geez, Essendon's going to have the slowest one way running midfield.

Yeah, but you wouldn't actually want to repeat that move too often (seems like a good way to fast track yourself to the wooden spoon) . . .and rival clubs in a more powerful bargaining position would know that and so are still likely call them on it. From our perspective, we don't have Dunkley now, and in the worst case, we still don't . . . so we can't really lose. Not true. They set a precedent. A line in sand if you will. A warning to other clubs for future trade periods.
We are prepared to let a player walk to the PSD & get nothing for him.
So be warned!!!!!!!

Gold Coast have been clearing up cap space for a reason, it wasn't in the hope that the Dunkley deal fell through & they were in a position to pounce.
Edit: I'd say you've been spending too much time on the Dogs board.
fair enough
Well since we have BRAB prime exponent of AFL in Nerang as a Lion what hope do they truly have?Gold Coast has been brought up by oppo fans at exactly this point every time we’ve traded in a quality player.
Funnily enough they are yet to gazump us in a deal - no clue why they can’t attract good players to live in Nerang.
From the age:
A very unconvincing bluff. Not buying it.
As an aside, can out of contract players still nominate for the National draft, like Luke Ball?
Patience?i come on this sight to be informed about football, not to read endless posts about possible trades that will never happen. Not sure the club cares if a supporter can’t show patience
A lot of teams being campaigners now.And that's how you win flags:

Yes.Ok, now humour me. I know it's a 1/1000 chance, but if Dunks goes to the PSD, does he get to nominate his terms?
I.e. sure, walk me to the PSD, but I'm only signing a one year deal worth $xxx?
How do the specifics of a PSD contract work?
Personally I think that 18 would be far too high a price to pay for Henry.A lot of teams being campaigners now.
What Geelong are offering is akin to what Carlton offered Gold Coast in the Jack Martin non trade.
Bad luck. Should have traded him two years ago if you wanted fair valueYou summed it up. Dunkleys worth the 2 first round picks. Dunkley and 2 seconds? That’s worth more than 2 (1 delayed) firsts
Geelong are rumoured to want to keep 18, to take to the draft. They're going to lose their future second round pick to GC in the Bowes trade, so are blocked from trading their future first, unless they get a future second round pick back.Personally I think that 18 would be far too high a price to pay for Henry.
I wonder if we could consider doing a pick swap with Geelong for 18 and 38 for 25 and 33 plus maybe some later pick swaps as well.
Geelong can still use those 2 picks for Henry and Bruhn and we can give 18 and next years first to the Doggies for Dunkley.
We would still have 21 to split for some more points for Ash and Fletch.
