Some Tom-Paply-like passion perhaps?
I’m sort of torn on him. Yes he would be an amazing in, but on the other hand I really detest him. But I guess if something like that transpired I would instantly switch my views effortlessly and buy a jumper with his number or something

I know * all about the draft, for anyone that follows is this Cadman bloke worth trading up into the top 5 for?

Yep.

He’s a very big body and physical. We would be happy to get him.

The other KPF near the top end is Jefferson. He’s probably 5-7 picks later than Cadman but he’s got big X factor and can run all day.

Cadman is probably a safer pick and will play earlier than Jefferson who is still a twig, but we will be looking closely at both these boys with the Jackson compo.

I also have it on good authority that our recruiting team very much likes Harry Sheezel.

Can we get a photoshop of a can of Passiona with Tom Papley’s head?

I love Passiona. Dr.Pepper another seriously great soft drink that isn't around enough

If we get Jefferson we also need a Lincoln a Washington and a Roosevelt as well.

Good size and forward craft, never looks panicked. Bit of a worry the set shot kicking like danster168 said, gets no momentum thru set shots. Reckon hes more a Hawkins type than Cloke coz of game smarts.

The questions id have is has he just beaten up on smaller kids, does he have the motivation and scope to become better or is he the type to get comfortable and cruse? Needs to pass the Papley-Passion Test before im willing to give the seal of approval

Having said that I like him far more than Jefferson, Jefferson may never develop as an AFL KPF and become another Watts, Cadman has the tools and frame/body to be a very good KPF in the AFL, clearly the higher floor of the two/far less risk in him, should be making an impact inside 2 years in the system.

I respect your analysis of Cadman. There's definitely question marks but I think his competitiveness will ensure that he makes the grade.

I think Jefferson is the better player though. I think he has more footy smarts, and is better aerially as well as a better kick. He needs 2-3 years in the gym though. there is a bit of Watts about him I agree but I think Jefferson has more courage in the air than Watts.

I think Jefferson has the higher ceiling. He is perfect for team down the bottom to take a swing with. With the position we are in the though as a contender, and needing a genuine forward ASAP, ill take the higher floor.

Not sure we absolutely have to draft a KPF. I still think we can shake loose a Georgiades type. Maybe not this off season, but hopefully next. We have JVR coming through, and although Petty is a gun defender, clearly the coaches don't rate him that highly as a defensive post(15th in the b&f), so can be moved forward where he's looked pretty good. I think best available in the draft is still the way to go.

I’m becoming more convinced that we are going to attempt to get right near the top of the draft to take someone in particular.

Reports saying we’ve asked for top 7 pick from Freo. We may then even look to upgrade again from there which may be possible with clubs apparently preferring next year’s draft.

I’d love the club to take on the groupthink by going at the players we want in this year’s draft if clubs are overrating next year’s. Whenever there is talk of how amazing a future draft crop is it always turns out to be overblown.

I hope we split the picks over two years, every chance Freo regress imo losing numerous players. Could easily be looking at a top 10 pick next year
