Ok then you do a pick swap
Rankine+Bowes+#7 for #5+ 2022 or 2023 2nd rounder

Basically the fundamentals of the trade remain the same
If its a $1.6 mil salary dump there are only 6-7 clubs that could even contemplate taking the full salary
Hawks,Bombers,North,Crows,St kilda,Fremantle and maybe 1 more

2023 2nd rounders that are bottom 4 clubs are going to be extremely sought after
Adding pick 5 into your original trade makes a bit difference, don't you think?

Absolute pisstake. I’m all for oppo supporters coming onto our board in good faith but this is just a deliberate jibe to get a rise out of us. * off back to your own board.
So explain whats the piss take

Its been posted #7+ Bowes with full $1.6 mil salary with a late pick coming back was acceptable
but when the #7 is replaced by #5 (if the crows give that up) and a early 2nd rounder back becomes a pisstake ?

and * becomes your comment ?
Wow thanks for the (your)hospitality

I get that but fact is #5 is not there and may not be there but early 2nd back is pretty good compared to say Bowes going to say Richmond (im only using richmond as a guide as its my team but can replace with Brisbane or other top 8 teams)

only watched the first half today.

Was thinking, are our players the kind that would stand up on grand final day.

Got to say emphatically I would have full faith in miller, rowell, anderson, swallow.

Guys like Ainsworth, hollands, Powell, Ballard, budarick, holman I would trust as well.

Some guys could be a bit iffy.

Some of Sydney’s youngsters - gulden, mcinerney, Blakey etc.. are just too flimsy at the moment.

Makes me think about players like sharpy, bowes, chol. Got some skills but would you count on them to stand up on grand final day.. not sure.

Interested in seeing Chols output as a #2 next year. I think he takes another step. But assuming you mean the mental toughness as well - Not sure if he has that!

Yeeted Suns said it best to me. What our team is really lacking is a little bit of (See you next Tuesday). Every top level team has one or two players who bring that. We have some hard edged players (Holman, Rowell ect). But missing that mongrel. Maybe Long brings that?

Yeah, think Chol can be good over the season. But not sure he is reliable in any given game on a finals stage when his opponent is battering him throughout the match. Don’t know!

Guess he’s pretty inexperienced though.

Yep, hopefully Long can harness that mongrel in mostly a positive sense.

Miller and Rowell are made for finals. We seem a bit physically weak in the back half but I guess that comes with age and experience. Playing together for a long time is a massive help also, everyone just understands their role for the team. We just need to stick it out.
Also why I was on the wardlaw band wagon, a real finals type player but seems like that dream is over

Now that Geelongs season is over.

I expect Selwood to officially nominate the Suns on a 3yrs + trigger for a forth
For close to 800k per year

#source.comedyclub.
I remember back when we were linked with Isaac Smith, but people were grumpy because he was too old haha

Please excuse the intrusion, but I was hoping to hear from you guys about how accurate you think the: Jack Bowes + pick 7 for a now AFL sanctioned “salary dump“ of his “reported” 1.5 mill back ended salary.

I like Bowes as a player and think he would fit in really well with Sam Mitchell‘s game plan.

Jeez be great if we could draft a kid as good as Chad Warner.
39 games and Sydneys best by a mile.

He will win a Brownlow one day.
