I'm less concerned with the fixture given we're unlikely to be a contending team for some time. Don't think I've ever cared less about the fixture to be honest.

Be funny if this is the year we dont have to travel to Tazzy, SCG, GMHBA.... and then in a couple years when we're good again they load us back up.

I’m the opposite. Expectations are low so I’m more interested in 2023 than I have been in the past few seasons. Hopefully see some debuts and Allen develop further

I'm interested, just not in the fixture and melting over prime time slots and venues

I'm only interested from an attendance perspective. I don't mind a few Sunday games but it would be good to have some night games too (a few Saturdays and maybe a Thursday). We don't deserve Friday night so I'll accept it if we don't get any.

We really should be winning that game, we've lost yes to North the past two times but it will be another hit to Simpson's coaching career if we lose.

Clarkson v Simmo I’m normally Bullish but can’t see us winning away this early ..Go Eagles

So no WA teams played in Perth final round of 2022.

And no games in Perth round 1 2023?

WTF is going on here?
Concert at optus the week before round 1. It would have been fine but the magic round pushed the start of the season to a week earlier than normal.

I'm looking forward to watching our next generation of premiership players develop for sure.

And especially watching our one paced and small bodied midfield evolve into a fast attacking unit who tackles and defends.

Optus has a long way to go. The turf was genuinely embarrassing during the test and is regularly in worse nick than my multi-varietal front lawn.

It's hard to grow grass on concrete apparently!

I get that. But no game last round of 2022 as well?

Now we are at 23 rounds does that mean this year both WA clubs get11 home games and 12 away games?
Possibly.

Or possibly both teams get 12 home games

Or possibly one gets 12 and one gets 11

Of course, it is all moot as the 23rd game is in Adelaide so there are really only 2 'away' games that round anyway (the fixture may say differently, but unless you are scheduled to play PA or Adelaide then it is a neutral venue)

So according to the leaks it’s Geelong @ AO for the round 5 magic round or gather round…whatever they’re calling it.

Better there than alphabet stadium I guess
