Usually when a team loses by 100+ there are repercussions. This can take many forms but usually on the back of a horrid stretch of form it culminates in the inevitable sacking of a coach. In saying that, they like to do things differently out west and apparently want to reward Adam Simpson with a 3 month holiday. O...k.....
One thing the ass ramming at the hands of checks notes the bottom team on the ladder has done though is unite the bay in coming together in solidarity to vote for Andrew Gaff as the worst player of the round. Correctly.
Now there is a lot to dissect here given the sad sad state of affairs over in Perf but a look at the raw numbers tells most of the story. Only disposing of it 10 times for a highly paid, high reputation midfielder in of itself is alarming. When you consider that the team is currently half full with park footballers the senior leadership takes on importance and Gaff just isn't capable of playing well in a bad side.
Whether he was taking the easy option with his limited touches or playing a brand of footy more closely resembling Netball, it is not hard to see why the Eggles are where they're at if this one of the blokes the kids have to look up to.
Notice how I made it 4 paragraphs without mentioning his coward punch on Brayshaw a few years ago? That's how much he and his club have given me to work with.
Also ducking into some votes this week is a trio of Tuggers with Prestia polling a vote along with usual suspects, voters darlings Junktime Jack and Trent Coleman.
Honourable mention to Norf's interchange steward.

Higgins' dropped mark would have given the Saints the chance to ice the game if taken, and gone from 14 points up to 20. Went down the other end and the margin became 8 (three more goals kicked after that).
