I personally think around 90k for tonight
Blues fans have been starved of any sort of finals like success for a decade. I will bet my bottom dollar that they will flock to the home of football rain, hail or shine. There will be 95,000 tonight of which 73-75,000 of them will be Caaaarlton fans.
It will be electric tonight if the Baggers get home...
This is why it is shattering for us Bomber supporters, if our close rivals are getting these opportunities, when is it our turn? :(

Not the best tv ratings, decent but not the number 1 program on free to air when there was little competition nationally. In saying that, i had a few people say it's one of the worst finals they have seen in a while, a real grind.

Last night's crowd stacks up pretty well:

4th highest week 1 final (Final 5, 6 & 8 formats)

The 2017 PF Rich v GWS 94,258 was a sensational crowd as GWS would have not brought many fans to the match and is the largest for a game that did not feature two Victorian teams.

It just shows the massive drawing power of the Tigers when they are up and about.

For god's sake smallwilly, don't encourage them;)

I thought the ratings were pretty good with over 1 Million for the 5 x capital cities and fox combined and it was the 4th placed show overall on the capital cities ratings.

I don’t debate if either of the last two nights figures are incorrect, but it really makes me question each years GF attendance.

All of a sudden a game that has only 32,000 tickets go to Members, a shit load of corporates who could not give a shit and an AFL and MCC members gets 100% capacity minus 1-10 people not showing up?

Spare me.

Does not add up.

Have you been to a GF? It is the only time there is not a single spare seat and when standing room is absolutely checkers. And if you can’t go, you sell your ticket for $500 - $1000. That is why it is 99.99% full.

Grand final is a completely different kettle of fish.

You have people prepared to pay 4 figures not being able to get a ticket. There is nobody sitting on tickets that aren't used

Only need 47k to the Saints game to break the record for highest attendance at the G in a single week of finals.

We need just under 100k from the remaining two games to break the record for Week 1 of a finals series.

MCC double dipping stopped both crowds from being above 93-94K imo. At least 1000 empty seats on level 4 both nights, no doubt from people who had reserved seats just in case but ended up queing for a level M/N/P walk-up seat. Weather probably stops Collingwood Melbourne from getting another 1k.

Simple solution to MCC is to implement their Grand Final system for all finals. If you have a reserved seat, your barcode is deactivated until all walk ups are full and then you can enter. Probably needs to be a time limit, ie an hour before the game starts and then reserved seat holders can enter, but it just isnt right at the moment.

I’ve been lucky enough to have been to two and the difference simply just can’t be no shows?

There would have been 8,000 more people who wanted to go to either of those two games. The AFL must not sell as many standing room to finals as they do the GF.

Next week Melbourne V Blues could sell 150,000 if they had the seats, but fans will miss out. It isn’t good enough. When there demand is there clubs and stadiums need to be doing more to make sure every single seat and spot is full.
