Tholstrop is a Lyon-type operator me thinks. Hard as a cats head, pressure game, committed. Wouldn't surprise to see us go Murphy/Tholstrup with our first two.

i'm not a fan... i dont see where the growth is going to come from.

where do people see him playing? like what position will he make it in?

Collard was tipped at pick 14th in the ESPN Phantom and 20th by Sporting News, so not clearly outside the 20.

I love his highlights.
None of our current small forwards are great crumbers and looking at this, Collard is also able to get an overhead ball pretty well.

good club... i can ask about collard

Collard could become one of the best small forwards out there.
The mid we get at those picks probably won't come close.

Probably the StKilda approach though, vanilla mids with our first picks, followed by vanilla small forward.
Mannagh at pick 40 could be a steal if it happens…first 2 picks we must go best available

I reckon Will Lorenz has been a bit forgotten but he looks like one of those Sydney type picks ups in the second half of the draft that could be an outperform. A bit of a meat and potatoes mid that can play inside and outside.

With a week to go until the Draft, I'm picking;

1. C.Edwards
2. A.Moir- Phillipou probably talking him up? from last year
3. L.Charleson
4. C.Nyko

Dawson, Goad, Green & Murphy will be in contention if we want a ruck & a KPD.
Don't think we go for a KPF or Back Flankers.
Changed my mind on Simpson, because believe there is interest in Nyko- small back pocket.

He’d start as a half forward but has the attributes to be a midfield rotation option
doesnt hit the scoreboard enough and doesnt get enough of it to be in that role

he's defensive fwd. surely we arent in the draft to try and find those...

Managh is the 26YO right?

If we'd got him in the mid year rookie draft it might have been a steal.

I haven't seen much to suggest that he'd be drafted. I think the preseason draft is still the most likely way he gets a chance. Clubs in the finals race would probably chase him. I doubt he makes sense to a bottom 4 side. VFL players rarely get picked up at the national draft.

Moir looked on track for a top 10 draft pick after his under 17 year. He's quality but I wouldn't want to give up a first rounder for him. He had a pretty poor year.

Out of the group of names being talked about between our top 2 picks, my preference is starting to look something like this:

Unavailable:
Reid, Watson, curtin, mckercher, duursma, walter, read, O’Sullivan, Sanders

Most likely gone but still a chance:
Caddy, Windsor, Leake, Wilson

1-Leake
2-caddy
3-Wilson
4-Windsor
5-tholstrup
6-edwards
7-Murphy
8-collard
9-demattia
10-roberts

I don't follow the young guys like some on here so this is just going off the recent articles and highlights but gee this guy oozes confidence. Looks like a Steven May-James Sicily clone. Would love him in our team. Do we know if our club is interested in this guy?
Except he doesn’t do any of the key defender stuff

Doesn’t play as a defensive forward though. Plays as a high forward as well as having time in mid and back. One of not many to play well against the men, so I think that’s what people will be looking at - one of those guys that can make the leap easily enough.

Isn't he a ducker?

The reported issue with Lorenz is a lack of pace, I think we are looking to bring in speed.
