Bloody hell looks like BB is staying...View attachment 1826906
I mean, if I was getting paid $600-700k to just rehab for most of the year, I'd probably stay too, to be fair.

He's got a young family and I doubt he'll ever make that sort of money again. Makes sense, really.

Logged in to see if there were any new rumours about our trading

1. Gawn is out instead of Grundy to Sydney, what this space. Oliver will now be staying on Grundy's couch. (its a better couch tbf, spoiled)
2. We are making a play for Tom Hawkins and Jeremy Cameron. Geelong have decided to get back to their roots and they prefer draft picks. Stephen Wells has been begging for picks for years but the coach keeps wanting to trade them away. Likely another 15 year dynasty on the way for the Cats.
3. JVR will be traded to West Coast, has said hes sick of playing in this dysfunctional forward line, had some harsh words for the coach in his exit interview, basically told him to G&GF, this is why we are going after Hawkins and Cameron
4. We are interested in Lachie Schultz, have told his manager we will offer more than Collingwood and they have told us that Lachie has no interest in play for such a dumpster fire of a club. We aren't giving up and think we can persuade him to join us. Very Mitch Clark like. Willing to blow everyone out of the water with an offer he cant refuse.
5. Petty wants out but we have said no. Dont forget youre here forever. Back to the backline with Hawkins and Cameron coming in.
5. And the big one, Simon Goodwin wont just be coaching from the sidelines, he will be the first coach/captain since Jezza in 1981

Schulz would have been very handy. We have Kozzy with 37 goals this year but we could use another of his quality.

Chandler had a great start to the season and 24 goals is a decent return, but went missing in the later part of the season. And McAdam is a bit vanilla.

In all seriousness, I'd love prime Goody in our current side

Reckon that's a bit harsh on McAdam. Has averaged more goals per game over his career than Schultz.

Only issue with being a coach/player is that Glen Bartlett has a friend at ASADA and he will demand weekly tests of Goody. Its 50/50 at this point.

I honestly think McAdam is a good pick up and player. The issue most Dees fans fail to recognise is if the method coming into our 50 is the same you could bring in anyone and it would barely move the needle. If McAdam fails it wont be because hes shit. It will be because of us.

Method is a far bigger issue than personnel.

Having Tomahawk ruling the roost inside 50 would make our fellas walk taller. If he was in our side this year instead of Tmac we would have the flag.

A fit McAdam will make our forward line better, of course he's not going to solve all our issues and the most games he's played in a season is 15, but he's a good get.

Predictable, but gross. Free agency and the draft are both broken.

I dream of a league where there are no compo's, no academies, and everyone plays each other once. What a delight it would be.

Im fine with new clubs coming into the league getting a help package over numerous season but thats where the charity needs to stop. Its a salary cap league, there is no need for all this other shit. Be better.
