But ThE DrAFT DrOPs OfF!! 🤪🤪
Considering there's a bucketload of players that your 'experts' had going in the 20s falling through to 40s and 50s picks (at least) and a ton of relative randoms are being picked in the 30s, I'd say that's a fair indicator that the overall depth of this draft is pretty poor.

Schoenmaker dropping through the entire draft – how could Adelaide, Brisbane, Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon, Fremantle, Geelong, Gold Coast, GWS, Hawthorn, Melbourne, North Melbourne, Port Adelaide, Richmond, St Kilda, Sydney, Western Bulldogs and West Coast do this?!?! An article I read said he was a first-rounder!

Gawd damn
Course geelong pick up The one mature rookie I was bullish on.
They picked Mannagh after his impressive BOG in the VFL grand final .
Great now I gotta watch him play for the team I wanna see him at the least.
Mannagh was the one who interested me with our late pick - didn’t make it to our 42 though.

Must be still decent talent if PA are trading into this draft

Are we the only club who called it quits after pick 15?

Yes, Port Adelaide trading away all their picks for JHF last year and taking some swings late coz they didnt have draft capital to get back in it earlier means its a very strong draft

Anyone picked above our pick 74 (minus our picks) is a steal

He is a big body under 18 who was an absolutely horrible 1 on 1 defender vs kids, good luck against men if you struggle against twigs in under 18's with a mature body. Got tools but he needs some serious work, very limited to where you can play him/how you can use him.

Delean still on the board, once touted top 5 pick, plays like Heeney

Kynan Brown onto the Dees rookie list "plays like Errol Gulden"

TIM LAMB DOES IT AGAIN! 🎓

The "full time team" thought Grawndy was a good idea...

The football department is not infallible nor immune to criticism.
Thats different. We'd seen Grundy play for 10 years before he came to us. People criticicising draft picks that they haven't seen live is like saying Grundy is a bad idea but they've never seen Grundy play.

Mate you spent all day telling me to trust the experts in charge when I was melting about this, now your saying the exact same thing.

And yes, we did stuff it up heavily, and it’s funny how we say draft talent drops off big time when all other clubs are still able to identify talent later down the pool.

Ollie Murphy got taken in the 40s, surely his worth a punt as a KPD. Shoenmaker still on the board.
lol. I think they traded 27 and 35 thinking that they could do something with 6+11 because they wanted Reid or Watson/Duursma. And it backfired. I think it was more that than not rating some of the players on day 2.

So your problem is discourse on a forum? The site would be dull if all commenters were saying "let's assess these selections in 2028".

Get a life, nerd!

lol, my old stomping ground the Bellarine Football League gets a player picked by an AFL club. Incredible. The BFL quality is a mile below the Geelong Football League, good luck kid playing VFL or AFL. Ill keep an eye on him for sure though now.

that's exactly what I'm saying. with draft picks specifically no-one knows for a few years. He'll even Jack Watts I gave him 3 years before I called him a spud.

keep the personal attacks out of it.

So Kynan Brown made it through. Must be some unwritten rule around not taking the piss and bidding early on F/S noms who are all but committed to. In Brown’s case he might just not be good enough to pick here but Vic Metro BnF sounds decent? Did he play most games in an average team or something?
