A lot of two way running in that group. especially with Jack and Hanners. Not sure our current midfield does that part of the game very well. Hence we seem to lack any pressure on the opposition ball user.
No way they run 2 ways like them

Hanners was unbelievable 2 ways , and just a heart a soul

Like Jack

100% agree, remember the Kreuzer cup one year, Scully cup another.

Jack watts was a clear no.1 pick for all and sundry at the time.

For one reason or another they weren’t the clubs answer.

Picking multiple quality players in multiple consecutive drafts is the sure fire way to build a team.

You cannot build a team on one player.

Multiple top 10 or first rounders is the way to go (hard to get obviously). Swans will have some decent picks this year.
Could be wrong but I feel like it's the whole "complete player" thing. That to me is a scarier term at draft time than "light half back flanker."

If a player is already complete at 18, where do they go from there?

Standing the mark for example.
The 6 6 6 before the bounce.
It changes the game & players style.

The game rewards hard work in terms of effort and running still I mean

Remember when Rowell was going to be the GOAT after 3 games?

I'm sure he'll be fine, and Reid will be too, but trading the farm, much less an established key forward like Logan for an unproven teenager just doesn't make sense IMO.

Rowell had a shocking run with injury. Reckon he is a terrific young player.

Logan isn't an established forward. We carry him in the hope he will be.
